Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • Rear Heater Vents Blow Cold Air Only - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe

My hubby bought this car in October. Overall we like it, but there have already been some issues. It took two visits to repair the driver in-seat heaters (finally they put in a new heating unit). After two visits the rear vents still dont work. Once or twice weve got them to blow mildly warm air but it couldnt be called heat - and we live in Minnesota. The backseat passengers feet freeze. And, finally, the radio display locks up while playing from an iPod. I am planning on purchasing a car for myself soon - and the lack of warmth in the back of the vehicle is a deal breaker for me.

  • Ive Researched, this seems to be the 1! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I started researching for a new suv about Jan of 03. It is now April 03 and I will be buying a Santa Fe. Everyone Ive talked to, including my very trusting insurance agent and all the reviews Ive seen, Ive only seen one bad one, and there have been many many reviews, and the bad one I seen, just said poor (21m said it-go fiqure). I cant wait to go get mine this month. And strangly enough, my insurance is running within $30 of my old 97, Pont. Grand AM insurance. So for all you researchers, times up, this is the one.

This vehicle is awesome for the price. Smooth, quiet, strong engine. And the transmission shifts just fine. Granted its not like a BMW, but what do you expect for 25 Grand. If you get into this vehicle expecting, it to be a 7 series you will be disappointed, but if you get into it expecting it to be a "Hyundai" you will be pleasantly surprised.

My Santa Fe has 72K miles. It has been in the shop too many times to mention for poor performance, sputtering, and no aceleration. Dealer could not fix. Went to a friend - winds up dealer put the wrong cheap spark plugs and wires on. My car had only been serviced by the dealer, and never replaced plugs or wires. No one can explain. Also crank sensor went on fast lane of freeway. Have to replace battery at least once a year. Backtail lights consistently go out but they can not find the issue causing it. Also had to replace console and speakers several times. Paint is completely fading. 100K warranty? Whats actually covered for 100K?

Ive had the chance to drive both the new 2008 Honda CR-V and the 2008 Hyundai Santa-fe and personally I would for Santa-fe the ride isnt bad and handles NYC pot holes like a charm its more roomier then the CR-V with more cargo space then CR-V. The Santa Fe also has a powerful v-6 engine compared to the CR-V and gas isnt too bad in the city as long as you dont the manual drive feature in the city. Its perfect for the high way. Over all if you want more room and features then the Santa Fe is you.

  • The Right Choice - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Went looking for a Suburu and wound up with a 07 Santa Fe. Couldnt be happier. Roomy, plenty of power, gas mileage around 21, versitile, the best warranty in America, and around $7000 less than a comperably equiped Pilot. Whats not to love.

With two children and a large dog this is the perfect mid size SUV. The leather heated seats are wonderful, seats fold down very easily, and it is a joy to drive. Gas mileage is not the best, and more options would be great, such as a built in DVD player, upgraded stereo, and side cup holders in the rear. Absolutely love it!

  • Great Car - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have only had it for a month, but so far I love it. Very smooth ride, very quiet vehicle. Build quality seems to be excellent, and the warranty is great. My mom just bought a 2010 Chevy Equinox, and hers is an 2LT, which is not the top of the line model, I got my top of the line Limited Santa Fe with more options than her Equinox, for about 4,000 dollars cheaper. Its the first foreign car I have owned, but I loved the look of it, and loved it when I took it for a test drive. And then add on the price and it was too good to pass up.
