Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Not a fan of it - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
By henryh_ - July 21 - 6:57 pmI drove one of these as a rental car for 3 weeks while my Volkswagen GTI was being repaired from an accident. I should qualify my review by saying that Im a small car guy and generally do not like SUVs. This is what was available for me to rent. Theres wasnt anything remarkably bad about the Santa Fe. It just didnt impress me or have any features that stood out. Im not sure why anyone would pick this over the Tucson, which is smaller, less expensive, and has better styling inside and out.

New owner - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By PMK - July 19 - 10:00 amSo far so good. I have not owned my vehicle for that long, but there are alot of little added features that are really cool. For example, the way the cargo area is designed with compartments to store tools. The SUV has a very solid feel. When I picked up the SantaFe and brought it home I noticed the map light was out and it had a slight paint chip near the door. I reported it to the service dept., and brought the vehicle back the following week. The service center and my salesman were unbelievably accommodating, which was a very refreshing and unique experience.

Great vehicle - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Janet Kresge - July 19 - 10:00 amFirst SUV and love it. Two babies to haul around and still lots of room left over. Affordable and gas mileage is great. My parent have owned Grand Marquis for the past 20 years, loved this car so much that they now own one and love it as much as I do.

Best Value For the Cost - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
By spbinmb - July 13 - 12:53 pmWe purchased a new Santa Fe late in September paying 31.5k all in no financing. The owner of the dealership is also the manager, and offered to trade it in at the same value in two years. Weve put about 2500 km on, about half winter driving with icy roads - the traction control and AWD is excellent. The defrost takes about 5 minutes to clear the windshield, same for rear and mirrors. Heated seats take less, and are wonderful when coming out of -30c. Road noise is minimal, visibility is good. No mechanical issues to date - when we took possession of the vehicle the turn signal was a little sticky; it didnt pop back into position automatically. After a week of use that cleared up

Best Ever Owned - 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe
By S. Whitmer - July 9 - 10:23 amEasily the best SUV on the market for the price. Have owned for 4+ years, no problems. Get 24+ MPG combined w/ V6. Solid build quality, easy to maintain. Hyundai builds to Lexus quality at 1/2 the price.

Best SUV in its class - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By parkone - July 9 - 7:36 ami cant believe that hyundai has built such a great vehicle - its not the same as the 1998 that my sister owns. it was 4000 less than a comparable honda and toyota with more features and warranty.
