Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Good choice - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By VadimZ - February 2 - 10:00 amWe love our Santa Fe. We owned for a year and are very happy about it. Its roomy, its stylish, its very cozy with all those pockets, cupholders and such. It works out nicely if you have a kid or two. They love it because they can actually see whats going on around. Control panel is convenient as well as the Shiftronic thing. Brakes are excellent, it handles pretty nicely.

What a surprise! - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Carol - February 2 - 3:26 amI live in NY. Fearing my husbands safety after 9-11, we bought this vehicle (a 2002)so he could commute the 120 miles each day to NYC. Driving the Brooklyn Queens Expressway and the Long Island Expressway everyday is test enough for any cars reliablity. With 100,007 miles (and going) we have never had one problem with this vehicle, not even a flat tire. We just change the oil every 3000 miles. It has all the extra features to keep you comfortable on a long commute. It is a great weekend get away car. You can fit most anything in the back. Its easy to park tight spaces and works well on our shopping trips in lower Manhattan. I recommend this car to everyone. I am planning to buy a new one.

Glad we bought a Hyundai - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Todd - January 29 - 1:00 pmWe drove ALL the mid size suvs. We liked the Honda cr-v. We even took it for a half a day and drove around. We went back to close the deal and the dealer couldnt have been more rude. We liked the car, but not going to buy from people who try and push you into it. So we went to Hyundai. Couldnt have been a better experince! We just love the santa Fe. Runs great, and looks great. Love it!!!

Fell In Love With Looks - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By shirley - January 27 - 10:00 amLooks like a car/drives like a car and is so fun to drive that I make up excuses to drive it. Ive had lots of complements on its looks, and the two toned paint color. Everyone is impressed at the looks of the interior. For the price you get a really great looking car.

2003 santa fe 3.5 awd - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By pss - January 27 - 10:00 amVehicle has very slight lag on initial acceleration to about 2200rpm and then its very good. Ride is firm- seating very comfortable. Slight reflection of dashboard in windshield and of rear brake light under some lighting conditions. Gas mileage about 13 mpg under suburban non highway driving. Engine smooth- trans shifts smooth and not overly active.

By garbear - January 26 - 3:53 amI was disapointed by the power of the vehicle but overall its been a good suv 1st time owner of a Suv. Company has burned me as far as settlement for wrong sticker information left a sour taste in my mouth not happy.

OK car, bad choice for me - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Ricardo Ho - January 25 - 4:46 pmI bought an AWD Limited Santa Fe a year ago.It is an okay car. Some squeak and rattles, but I never had any mechanical failure. The sound is relatively good. Initially, it drives ok. I later found the the front seats were too high and very uncomfortable. It takes me a month to find that out and I develop a serious lower back pain that affects my sleep. The leather used in Santa Fe does not last. I decide to change car to ease my lower back pain. Most dealer were only willing to trade it for 1/3 of the price I paid. I end up give Hyundai another try since they gave highest trade in value. I still lost half of my investment.

Awesome Value - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By SBL - January 21 - 2:00 amI am a self employed contractor who has to repair trucks and heavy equiptment for a living. I had previously owned a 1990 Sonata and did all the maintenance and repairs by myself. What amazed me was the quality and design of every part that I worked on that car over the five years that I owned it. After driving the car from 70k to 200,000 miles , I sold it running as good as the day I bought it, and bought the Santa Fe. Let me tell you , the Santa Fe is an awesome vehicle. I have put 15,000 miles on it in 5 months with zero problems.
