Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

My Santa Fe just had its first birthday and is still going strong! I love how it looks and how it drives. This vehicle can sure hug the road and handles really well. Plenty of room for the grandchildren and everything else, for that matter. A quiet comfortable ride.

the only complaint I have is that I made a mistake and bought a 4 cylinder which isnt strong enough when the air conditioner is running.

This vehicle rides like a car. I have a 6 cylinder GLS model. Since I have needed to take two long distance trips, I have had the opportunity to experience a smooth ride at 45 miles an hour, and at interstate speeds as well. This car rides as smoothly at 45 as it does at 70.

I purchased the Santa Fe at Palm springs Hyundai and have two problems. The drivers seat was loose and when you drive away from a stop you felt as if you were going to tip backwards. It was resolved with a quick repair at the local dealership. The other problem is that the gas pedal does not work all the time. You get a dead feeling and there is no power when you go to pull away from an intersection or what ever. It is extremely discomforting when you are trying to cross a lane of traffic and the car does not respond to pressing on teh gas pedal. It seems to be happening more often than it first did. Anyone else have this problem.

  • Enjoying my Santa Fe - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have been amazed with my Hyundai Santa Fe. It gets great gas mileage. It pulls my 17 1/2 foot boat with little noticeable effort. It is is very roomy and comfortable. It seats 4 very comfortably and 5 if necessary. It has plenty of cargo space. I even put my dog in the cargo area when traveling and he weighs 90 pounds. I have had virtually no problems with it to date. I plan to keep it for a long while and when I trade, it will most likely be for another Santa Fe.
