Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Lousy Bumper cover - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
By freddiew - July 24 - 10:17 amI own this Santa Fe since last week of 2010. Driving is not too bad at all but last week while I drive in my parking space with almost no speed, the bumper cover fell off. I push most of the bumper cover back except the driver side corner. Body shop at dealer said must get another bumper at cost of $1078. Called Hyundai and they said drive in snow is not cover by warranty. Most bumper must meet 5mph requirement thus means this is a "TOFU" comparable bumper. Even I have the money to replace same thing will happen again if is getting near any snow or things. Disappointing................! Mistake to buy one!

By Ric Riel - July 24 - 2:00 amA great ride with the peace of mind of a great warranty. Has get up and go and was a pleasant drive on our 4000 mile vacation this summer. Zipped up the mountains of the northeast and flew thru the highways of the south. Im hooked for life.

Give it a chance... - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By ILIKEITALOT - July 22 - 2:00 amAfter spending hours online researching car reviews and typical pricing-- I settled on two cars: Hyundai Santa Fe and Mazda Tribute. I wasnt excited about the prospect of being a "Hyundai" owner (old bad rap). So, I test drove both twice. The Hyundai felt stronger, felt bigger, drove smoother, had the shiftronic (wife cant drive a stick) and had a far better Warranty offer. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome and felt the price on the GLS with ABS+Traction was a great value. Ignore the past bad rap with this company and test drive a Santa Fe if you are in the small-ute market~ before the price goes up.

Great Value... but -- - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By RGG - July 20 - 7:03 amIm not sure about long trips due to the seats. Theyre nice with the heated leather, but you can feel the short bottoms/lack of thigh support. It doesnt seem like much until you make a long drive and you go numb! Cool how the rear seats have adjustable recline, though. Nice storage section under rear cargo area. Excellent ride quietness. You can have a regular conversation in this thing w/o raising your voice! Traded in an Elantra GT, so Im used to the blue dash lighting. The projector type headlights make for an "upscale" feel.

Great buy! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Great SUV - July 16 - 3:43 pmThis was a great buy! My wife & I love it. Great around town. Plenty of room but not too big. Great on 5500 mile trip. Mileage was great. Averaged 29MPG which included mountain ranges in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Very dependable so far.

I always come back - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Sledfour - July 16 - 10:00 amBelieve it or not, this is my 4th Hyundai. I never thought I would have bought the second after buying my first at 16 years old. But I always came back. The warranty cant be beat, and the vehicles have gotten better looking with each model year change. People still say "youre getting a Hyundai?" with an all too familiar tone, but that will change when they see the Santa Fe up close. Even my wife was a skeptic, but was pleasantly surprised when I pulled into the driveway. If Hyundai keeps improving the looks, styles and amenities of its vehicles, this will not be my last.

Sante Fe - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Sharon46 - July 14 - 10:00 amI owned a 2001 Santa Fe and I made the mistake of trading it in. It was awesome in the snow and it had power. The ride was smooth and it was a reliable SUV. I recently bought a 2004 Santa Fe and am so glad that I was able too. Ill never trade this in unless it is for another Santa Fe

Best Value for the Dollar - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Dennis - July 9 - 1:26 pmI picked up the FWD drive version of this great car after looking at the Saturn VUE and Toyota RAV4. For all the standard features the other two couldnt compare. The VUE didnt have most of the saftety features available, and while the RAV4 did the price was substantially more. Even though we live in a snow-belt area, weve always been happy with our FWD sedan so we stuck with the FWD for our CUV mostly to save on fuel. The snow has fallen and, despite my best efforts, I cant get the FWD to do any sliding or slippping - and thats with the stock All-Seasons! Overall - this car is an excellent value for the money!

The new hyundai - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By drb6207 - July 8 - 10:36 amThis is a beautiful vehicle inside and out. The fit and trim inside is very good and the leather quality is awesome. If Hyundai can get people to take a test drive, they will have no problem selling as many as they can make-Drive it and you will buy it!
