Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

This SUV is a "Keeper" for sure! - 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Doug Brown - October 28 - 7:43 pmThis is a good looking, roomy, well appointed SUV with plenty of room for "cargo" and passengers. The two front seats are extremely comfortable...the back seats are nice and roomy but not as plush as the front seats (fold down seats never are no matter what you buy) and the third row is fine for a couple or 3 kids..adults should drive a second car if it comes down to it. I LOVE the car...its got 290 HP with the 6 cylinder..runs smooth and strong...power to spare if you need it. My grandson is a baseball catcher and we go to Travel Ball tournaments all over the place and have enough space in the back for his humongous catchers bag, a cooler, folding chairs, a tent, and luggage for 4 on overnight trips. Ive got 28,000 miles on it with NO problems...tires are 19 inch and wearing very well. Smooth ride, easy to enter and exit even at age 70... and I plan to keep this one!

First SUV - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By TAV - October 26 - 12:10 amAfter my 93 Corolla had finally had it, I decided to get an SUV. Actually wanted a VW Toureg, but fell in love with the Santa Fe since I could actually afford it. Had one issue a few months after purchase, was able to work around it and get it fixed (something with a valve in the fuel system). Being in northern MN, I do wish I would have gotten one that was 4WD or AWD. Drives well, and being almost 6 ft, I feel comfortable in it and in the back. Seats fold down nicely. Have used the roof racks for skis and for a luggage, went nicely. Power sun roof, very nice. I was very excited that it had a cassette player(my iPod connects easily) AC is very cold. Cruise work easily. Lots of storage inside

Goodbye college beater car...hello style - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By arose - October 24 - 10:00 amBought the SantaFe 6mo ago and have been very pleased with the handling and comfort. Definitely splurge for the LX edition and the sunroof if you can (haggle for the lifetime leather sealant and protection!) I paid $22K for mine (with 100K mile waranty, leather protection and 75,000mi maintance), and it was worth it!

go for it - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By happy - October 24 - 10:00 amI was very pleased with the power of the LX 3.5L engine. It has great pick up and handles very well in wet conditions. The only con that I have found thus far is the length of time needed to adjust the drivers seat in order to be comfortable.

Our Santa Fe - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By RickD - October 24 - 10:00 amIt was time to buy the wife a new vehicle and she suggested the Santa Fe. I wasnt to happy about buying a Hyundai, but to keep her happy we went to the Hyundai dealer to take a look. I test drove the LX 3.5 AWD and was very impressed. I also drove the 2.7 FWD, but decided the 3.5 AWD was the way to go. This vehicle gives you more bang for your buck than any of the other vehicles we looked at. Just to let you know how much I liked this vehicle, 3 weeks after we took delivery on my wifes Santa Fe, I went out and purchased one for myself. Identical vehicles, but hers has a moonroof and mine doesnt, and of course we have different colors.

Mostly great - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By MC - October 15 - 5:20 pmThis is a great car for the money. I am having some type of down shifting problem with the car. When the car is cold and is first starting out down the road it seems to not want to down shift, and then it suddenly makes a loud noise then jumps forward and down shifts. When I brought it to the dealership, they were not able to duplicate the problem so they erased the computer to see if that would fix it. Interestingly enough, there was a customer ahead of me that owned a 2009 Sonata that described the same problem. Apparently, there is a technical service bulletin for that model to make the repair. Hopefully, if this becomes a problem for Santa Fe they will come up with a repair.

GREAT value! - 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Carl - October 13 - 6:30 amMy daughter was ready to trade in her Elantra GT for something a little bigger, but wanted to stay with Hyundai, due to proven reliablity and an incredible warranty. The Santa Fe offers safety, reliability and comfort bundled with the most features at the best price. Safe, reliable and comfortable. She loves the style (and warranty), and I love the safety features. Add a network of dealers that back their product, and you have a recipe for success! Thank you Hyundai, amd thank you Mirak Hyundai for a great deal!
