Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Buy it! - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Love it! - March 7 - 12:43 pmRented one after totaling my 2001 Infiniti I30, was curious about a crossover and was hooked! I had to drive the V6 because I like to be able to pass another car on the freeway and the 4 cylinder is too weak. Im under 5 feet tall, and this car makes me taller in the seat and on the road! It also fits my 510" husband well. Great value for the money and now I can go to Home Depot and not rent one of their trucks!

Excellent SUV for the money - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Kenneth Pedersen - March 5 - 2:00 amI did a lot of looking and research before I bought my 2004 Hyundai. Ive owned Broncos,Bronco IIs,S-10s and my last SUV was an Explorer. I was impressed by the ride, the amenities and that fantastic warranty. I love driving this car, and in our Minnesota winters, the car handles like a dream with TCS and AWD. Im not crazy about my gas mileage, but all things considered ,I have one fine automobile, and am planning on buying the new Hyundai SUV due out in 2006.

40,000 miles - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Jay Dee Ef - February 22 - 10:00 am30 months into ownership. Hated dealer, love the rig. No real problems except a few rattles are starting to show up after 40k. 20 mpg in town/30 mpg on long trips for AWD V-6, AT, Auto. I will likely buy another...but not until I use ALL of the existing warranty !! Looks like factory will have incentive "loyalty" rebate program to encourage earlier trade in.

Not pleased - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Houston TX - February 22 - 10:00 amVery disappointed with mileage. Best mileage Ive gotten is 17.5 and thats highway. No head room for anyone over 6ft, little leg room. Seats are very uncomfortable for long trips. After reading other reviews, Im wondering what car theyre talking about. Were on our 3rd battery in 2 years!

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By jparkhurst71 - February 22 - 10:00 amI know that Hyundai has been carrying a stigma of a "Cheap Ride" for some time now. However, they maybe more competitive in the price range but lead the pack in qaulity, performance, style availabilty of options as standard equipment and nothing beats the warranty.

Driving is BELIEVING! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Priscilla C. - February 22 - 10:00 amNice SUV for the price. Paid below invoice and ours includes running board and moonroof too. Its solid and the quality is exceptional. As good as the Honda and Toyota products. Smooth driving quality! Almost as smooth as a Lexus RX, NO kidding! For under $20K and youre thinking of a Honda CRV, Toyota RAV 4 or Highlander. Take a look at the Sante Fe...driving is believing!
