Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Love my new Santa Fe! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By lyaana - May 14 - 1:10 amI just bought the Santa Fe on July 1st after having my Toyota Corolla CE 2001 for seven years and the absolutely love the Santa Fe. With my trade in and all the taxes and tags I walked away with the car paying only $20,138.00! I feel like the Hyundai Santa Fe is the best kept secret out there. I have all the options that I wanted except for an aux plug, which I will have installed very soon. I think you get so much bang for your money why pay up $5000 more to get the same thing. Once again I am very happy with car and my only complaint is that mileage could be better.

Better than Honda - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Flyboy - May 13 - 4:40 amI have 4,000 miles in this vehicle. Better ride than Jeep Liberty. More comfortable and reliable than the Mazda/Ford. Quality is high in this vehicle...no problems to date. This is Honda quality under a competing name. I am high income earner concerned with reliability. Honda and Toyota do not offer same comfort, V6, roominess for $. Hyundai will be big brand name in 3 years.

Great Car! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Rachel - May 7 - 10:53 amWe bought our Santa Fe because we needed more room for a new baby. We like the built-in storage in the back and the fold down rear seats. Wish it had more storage space for toys, diaper bag, etc. but overall a great car! The only time its been back to the dealership has been for oil changes. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone because it has a lot of standard features you cant get from similar SUVs unless you pay a lot more.

Great Car for the Price - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By JosieStl - May 6 - 9:16 pmBought the Santa Fe in May just before my wedding, and it has been such a great car! Cargo room is huge without having a giant vehicle, its very comfortable, drives like a car, and feels very safe on the highway. Get great gas mileage, even with mostly city miles. Road trips get over 300 miles per tank. Compared to other SUVs with the same features and safety, it was so much more affordable. Id buy it again!

Personal Crash Test - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By lionstate - May 2 - 10:00 amWe actually bought two Santa Fes in two months. Shortly after we purchased the first one, we were rear ended and driven into a rock wall. The car was totaled, but my wife and 6 year old daughter escaped without a single injury. The ABS brakes worked well and so did the air bags. The frame of the car maintained its form and the damage was primarily external. So we bought a new one, everything was the same except the first one was the 4 cylinder and this time I purchased the 6 cylinder. The power is much better and Im glad I went for the upgrade.

Love my Santa Fe! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Gloria - April 27 - 4:40 pmJD Powers caused me to look seriously at a Hyundai and am I glad. I am one who loves the styling and my 5 year olds favorite game is to spot another Santa Fe. I dont need extra horsepower and I addressed my conservationist guilt with the 4 speed shift. I had forgotten how much fun a stick is to drive! Only one downside, I bought a less than one year old trade in. Great price, clean as a whistle, still new car smell, NO TRANSFER OF WARRANTY! Oh well...I really love this SUV.

Major repairs on used purchase - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By rhonda28 - April 23 - 5:32 amI purchased this vehicle used a 1 1/2 yrs ago and had nothing but problems. Major cost to fix each problem. The front and rear catalytic converter had to be replaced as I could not get speed over 25 mph. On trip 2 hrs away from my home a month ago and the car just shut down on me. This past week belt which controls the a/c condenser and power steering just completely broke. Now I need a a/c condenser which is over $1000. NEVER will buy a Hyundai again.

My Lil Kim - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By MIKE POWELL - April 22 - 7:06 pmI bought the Fwd 6 cylinder, and it definitely has the get-up-and-go. It has the power when you need it, such as having to enter on the highway with little room to accelerate. I find it to be the perfect size for all my needs. Way to go Hyundai!
