One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe.   The auto is comfortable to sit in with power to move. The sound system is great. The gas mileage is ok; could be better, but its not bad.

  Just purchased the SantafE gls 2010 and we love it. Compared it against Ford Escape, Subaru Forester & Nissan Rogue - best riding and most drivers room of the 3 listed. Gives the most for you money

  Love this car. My 70 year old parents have had 5 Grand Marquis, since 1984. Drove my Santa Fe and have just bought their own.

  Oil Leak & Trans Issues - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe

  This is the first and LAST Hyundai I will EVER buy. I typically buy Honda (Accord, CR-V), but I bought the SF based on good reviews (Consumer Reports, etc.), enjoyable test drive, and apparent bang for the buck over the new CR-Vs. After 8K miles I have had 2 oil leaks (Timing Chain Cover Seal + cracked oil filter housing), & the intermittent transmission issues (hard shift, banging, lurching, etc.) that so many others have had. I will now crawl back to Honda for my next new car. Its a shame because without those MAJOR, inexcusable issues, the Santa Fe is an otherwise enjoyable vehicle. I thought Hyundai had done a 180 from the laughing stock it once was, looks like I was wrong.

  Picked the Santa Fe Limited AWD over Toyota RAV4 (too small and cheap materials), Toyota Highlander (too expensive). Quite happy at the money saved and having a 7-seater for those times when we need 2 extra seats. The engine and tranny combo runs like a dream. Brakes arent bad for a 4000-lb car.

  Only 5000 miles since the Dec. 15th 2013 purchase and so far so good. I have had no steering issues at all that I keep reading about. I gave up my 2006 4runner 4.7l V8 with 95000 miles that I loved, to get better gas mileage and 22 city and 30 hwy is great out of this 2.4l . The only issue , so far is the loss of power for a split second or 2 that only happens at an idle when Im getting read to pull out in traffic or say make a left turn. You start to depress the throttle only to have nothing happen for that second or two,quite disturbing for that short moment.This has happened 4 times and the pattern seems to be only on 95+ degree days

  well it is a suv after all and i am kind of a sedan person.... but it has never made me any problems at least big ones

  this vehical is the best SUV I have drive. It is small but roomy it is fast but safe it is perfect for someone who wants 4 wheel drive but ot a lot of car!

  Idrive alot 2k a month and all over while i am 65 the vehicle was not designed with me in mind but to hop in and go 375 miles in a few hours i find to be better than my old 4-runner and it gets better mileage to i would reccomend this vehicle to anyone who wanrs quality with a great warranty and great value for the dollar
