Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

I LOVE THIS CAR - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By LINDA - October 1 - 4:00 pmI never knew that a car could be so much fun to drive. I volunteer to drive everywhere now. The pick-up upon accelerating is very quick. I find the seats to be very comfortable. The cargo area is very ample. The safety features on the car make me feel safe and secure. My only complaint would be the gas mileage, it could be better. I would recommend this vehicle to everyone.

Dissapointed! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By SF2007 - September 27 - 2:53 amI bought the car new in November 2007. Having high hopes this would be the last car I would have to buy for a long time. I had the car in for the 15,000 mile maintenance in July 2009 and mentioned it had started making a roaring noise, more prevalent at lower speeds. I was told it was tire noise and the tires were feathering. I have had the tires rotated at the specified times why would they feather? If they are feathering at 15,000 miles somethings wrong! I have not been able to get any results from Hyundai as to the real problem. The car is also downshifting hard at 30 miles when coming to a stop. I dont think Ill be buying any make, model or type of Hyundai again.

My First Lease - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By James - September 22 - 7:26 pmAfter shopping for several months and renting several suvs, we found that the 2007 Santa Fe was head and shoulders above anything else in its price range and several thousand dollars above. It is quiet, well appointed, has a smooth (for an suv) ride, and so far has been a pleasure to drive. Would recommend anyone looking at mid-size crossover suvs to give the new Santa Fe a serious and close look.

Sant Fe - AWD 4x4 - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Ken Pribil - September 11 - 6:00 amThis vehicle is a pleasure to drive. The only drawback is the CD stereo. In order to hear its quality, and power, it must be played loud. Everything else is great. I only wish that they would make an offer an extended version. Then it would be perfect.

I love it!!! - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Michelle/Houston - September 8 - 12:10 amI have owned my Santa Fe for about 6 weeks now and love everything with/about it. Gas mileage has improved to 22.5 mixed driving (I have 2k miles on vehicle). Very quiet, smooth ride, love my heated leather seats even though Im in the south. I didnt think I would use the heat but leather is cold in mornings. No transmission problems, its a fantastic vehicle with great rebates. Oh, the stereo system with 6 disc and infinity speakers sounds awesome! Sunroof is quiet too. No complaints here at all. I would highly recommend this vehicle. My other top running choices were Rav 4 or Highlander but the price I paid for what I got beat Toyota by far. I mean they got 100k mile warranty included.

Tough decision but the right one. - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
By dwaggard - September 7 - 2:34 amAfter 2 months of research and driving a lot of CUVs we were getting very discouraged with what we were finding. CX5 was way too slow (especially after owning a Mazda 3 for 5 years. Ford Escape was nice but doesnt seem to get as good of MPG as EPA states and was very cramped in cockpit. CRV was comfy but seemed cheap on the inside & sounded like it was straining & had a lot of tire noise. Sorento had worst ride Ive ever experienced (after everyone commenting on this, youd think they would fix that) 09 Lexus RX350 was our first choice, it was awesome but was $1,500.00 more than the new Sante Fe and had 38k miles & would only give us another 62,000 miles of warranty being "Certified".

Look Out Lexus - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Thunder - September 6 - 5:26 pmWe drove so many different vehicles, so many differnt times. This little SUV is awesome. We have two kids and they have plenty of room and we have plenty of space. When I first suggested Hyundia, I was doing it as a joke. I remember the "disposible cars" of the early 90s. My wife said she would not even test drive one. After I started to read the reviews I was amazed. After driving one...WOW. My wife loves it. I love to let her drive my F150 just so I can drive it. Drives better than her Maxima use to. Absolutely LOVE IT!!!

2nd Santa Fe - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By davem - August 30 - 10:00 amBought this car in Jan 03 to replace a 2002 Santa Fe which we totalled on an icy snowy curve on Rt. 81 in NY. On the total we got back all of our cost except for $1400 which in not bad for a year of driving. We survived with NO injuries, the front axle bent which damaged the transmission. The 2003 is a joy to drive, the mileage is 25+ on a trip, city about 20. We have 7500 miles now with no problems.
