Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • Awsome - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

My Hubby got me a Santa Fe as a surprise for my 30th b-day, and what a surprise it was, Ive never had so much fun driving a car, and this is the first SUV I have ever had. WOWzers, getting our 5 year old son in and out is a breeze and with tons of room in the back for groceries makes shoppin easier too.

  • Great Car!!! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

Ive had my Santa Fe for about a year now and Ive never been happier! I do a lot of traveling for my job and needed a reliable car that would withstand the 162 RT drive I do on a regular basis. Gas mileage is excellent for an SUV and so far I have not had any problems except for the cd changer.

  • Pleased with this vehicle - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe

First, mileage. I get about 24 on my daily commute, 16 strictly city, on cruise-control: 25.5 at 75mph, and 33 (!) at 60mph. Acceleration is more than adequate. If you really punch it you get torque- steer, but it isnt necessary to punch it. Its been trouble-free the first year/21,000 miles. The automatic climate system is MUCH better than the one in my Mercedes and the temperature readout much more accurate than my Mercedes.

  • Love the 2010 Santa Fe - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe

I wanted an SUV and had my eye on the Honda CRV. My husband suggested I check out the Santa Fe and Im glad I did. The cargo room and test drive made me fall in love with this car. Loads of of cargo room and very nimble drive for a mid-sized SUV.

  • Excellent Value - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

We tested a lot of medium SUVs, and we finally chose this car for its style and value. The road noise is pleasantly quiet for a car of this type. The thermometer and compass (both standard equipment) were big pluses. We strongly recommend the larger (3.3L) V6 engine for its better acceleration and handling. The Santa Fe has been a joy to drive. It feels more like a car than a SUV. Our gas mileage has been 20.5 mpg in combined city/hwy driving.

  • Problems - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

Even though my son was very good about all of its maintenance checks and oil changes, etc. Hyundai was not good about the warranty coverage and making sure that a certain problem should be taken care of immediately. Now at 53,000, the engine was shot, and it took the extended warranty company Zurich 6 weeks to have it replaced. Now I have a gas line problem which was also noted back in 2005, that was not taken care of and again I have been without my vehicle for two weeks.

  • Santa Fe alright by me - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I bought my 2007 Santa Fe in 2010 when it had 58xxx miles. It now has 166xxx miles. Ive never reviewed a car so Im going to throw it all out there. The car is a stud, Ive had it through winters in both Colorado and New York. The AWD is exceptional and even in 2 feet+ of snow the vehicle pulls like a beast, even with the smaller engine. Ive been stuck in a snowstorm pulling a 5x10 uhaul trailer and buzzed right passed all the stranded vehicles. I have the 3rd row seating model and it has been perfect for all my kids. I added a Phillips rear entertainment system and it wired in easily. Also replaced the head unit with a Sony Bluetooth/XM model.

Really enjoy the exterior styling, more curvy than most "box shaped" SUVs. Have the leather interior - very comfortable. Good all round viewing (added 2" convex mirrors onto side mirrors). Lots of storage room for average days when seats up, and for bulky days when seat(s) down. Like the ability to shut off Air Conditioning when using windshield vents 9cant do that it my Tiburon)

  • Im excited! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

So far so good. This is my first SVC and Im having a great time with it. I previously had an XG350 and I loved it so I decided to try this. I love the blue lighted dash it makes it a little classy. The handling is great. I look forward to the winter to see how it will handle.
