Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • Great SUV Value - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe

Santa Fe has been a great vehicle to drive. Handles nicely, peppy 3.5L engine, great visibility, nice design and the 5 year, 60K miles warranty was a big incentive to buy. Now I will have a vehicle still under warranty when the payments aare finished.

My wife and I love this vehicle. Great value for the money. We got it new from factory only 6 miles on it. Great for traveling and long trips. We have auto transmission, as well as the space is great especially for a man who is bigger like me. It has some pep for a 4 cyl and gas mi is about what Id expect. It even comes with a 1st aid kit and full size spare is great. I get regular oil changes and have not had one major issue except for the common ones.. Tires, brakes etc. Would not trade my vehicle in for anything. Got extended warranty (value?) for 7/100.

  • Not a high quality car for road in Boston - 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe

I had this car from 35K mile to 65K mile. It was OK when I drove it in Texas with the smooth high ways. But it has been giving me problems since I moved to Boston. I need to replace the battery, ball joint, rear suspension, master brake cylinder. The CD player always turn it self on/off when Im driving on a bumpy road, which seems to be everywhere in Boston. I plan to sell this car now after driving in Boston for one year.

  • My Santa Fe - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

It looks, drives and feels like a much more expensive SUV. Sound system is great. Nice, roomy cargo space with two ways to load, which I have found very useful. Would buy again.

  • WHATS THAT SMELL!? - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

SANTA ANA HYUNDAI: DONT GO THERE. LYING CHEATERS. THEY DONT EVEN OFFER FIRST OIL CHANGE FREE LIKE MOST OTHER DEALERS. I AM SAD ABOUT THE NEW CAR SMELL, SMELLS MORE LIKE A DEAD CAT. I CAN HARDLY WAIT FOR THE PLASTIC DOOR HANDLES TO BREAK. AND WHAT IS THAT HESITATION BETWEEN REVERSE AND DRIVE?

  • The horn blows. - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have about 4000 miles on this car without any problems. I find it a very comfortable and pleasant car to drive. The 6 cyl engine has ample power for the way I drive. I think this car is an excellent value for the money.

  • Bought for daughters graduation - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I picked the car up in Fla. and drove to Mo by way of Indiana. I was more impressed every day I was on the road. Every detail has thought, convenience and quality built in and the ride is as comfortable as any car I have ever owned. We were very fortunate to have settled on this vehicle. I cannot imagine anyone not being happy to drive the 07 Santa Fe.

  • Ran out of gas !! - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Huyndai Santa Fe 2009 model has a faulty fuel indicator.Internet stories say 2007-2013 models share the problem also. How can you drive a car when you dont know if and when you will run out of gas? The USA Hundai and World Hyundai refuse to acknowledge the problem exists even though the internet is full of cases where the fuel gauge doesnt work. The fix is a $500 cost to the owner. Not fair. If a manufacturer wont guarantee that their product is reliable, customers would look elsewhere. We sure will when we buy our next car. Hyundai lists a corporate philosophy on their website. I didnt see anything there about throwing customers under the bus! Bad form !!
