Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Hyundai Respect! - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By XCELO8 - October 30 - 5:36 pmI trade every 3 years and wanted a smaller SUV with improved mileage and adequate room. Looked at the Equinox, Rav4, Subaru outback, and the Murano. Chose the Sante Fe due to the power, interior design, fuel mileage, ride, and backseat/storage room. Also made in America. Very good sound system and climate control.

By Geoff Lamm - October 29 - 5:53 amHave had this car for 4 years and not one problem. Use it off road on occasion and performs well. Plenty of room inside. Has met all of our needs at a great cost.

By Lori & Mike W. - October 27 - 7:13 amThis is a very fun SUV...it is small enough to fit in parking spots in the city yet roomy enough ot fit a lot of camping stuff for the weekend away. I am pleased with it.

Too new to know a lot except about Nav System. - 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Woofy - October 26 - 12:20 amWorst navigation system on the planet. It locates about half the destinations Ive tried to input. The system makes no suggestions; just says it cant locate the address. Even my home at 6200 ***** street, built in 2009 cant be input because the nav system only shows street numbers up to 6199. Havent been back to dealer yet to have it checked but maybe I got 10-year old software.

Very Impressed - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Reddye - October 25 - 2:00 amHyundai was the last SUV I test drove and I knew within 10 minutes that it was the one I was going to purchase. With the many features, interior room, and gas mileage, you cant beat the price when compared to other SUVs in its class. Having to drive for long periods of time and in many traffic jams in a city like Houston, it is the ideal vehicle. I am constantly recommending this vehicle to others.

great buy - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By jgirl@aol.com - October 25 - 2:00 amWe were looking for an affordable SUV. We looked at Ford but every feature was more costly. The Santa Fe offered all the features we wanted as standard.

09 Santa Fe SE - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Randy Miller - October 23 - 1:16 pmOne month in - No gripes. Reviews about lag in trans depend on how you drive. Easy driving - no lag, Hard accel - initial lag at downshift with quick recovery. Firm ride but smooth. Good features for $$. Concern about warranty - saw something about only good at dealership where purchased, but havent confirmed. Compared to Toyota, Honda, Kia, Nissan before purchase and felt Hyundai was "best value". Dealer wasnt eager to lower price due to demand caused by $4clunkers, but still managed to get below TMV price. So far - so good. Features are nice & easy to use. Good layout. Seat slightly firm, but OK on first 300 mile road trip. Seems to be good value for the money.

So far So good! - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By KT - October 22 - 3:50 pmI loved the body styling compared to the box like appearance of other SUVs in its class. The interior is pretty comfy. The leather seats are not very soft but the give good support. I am disappointed that the passenger seat does not heat up as represented. The driver seat nicely heats and warms your lower back. Steering is tight. The gas pedal is too touchy. Barely pressing the pedal and it jumps into action full speed ahead! It is difficult to get used to and a bit annoying. Today I loaded a tall size hot water tank into it. Dropped the back seat and pushed the front seat forward and in it went with room to spare. Smiles all around! My friends find the back seat very comfortable.

Very good vehicle - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By rguyah - October 19 - 2:00 amI was surprised at how well the vehicle runs. It takes on rain, snow, and ice without hesitation. We got a lot of snow and ice this winter here in Pittsburgh and I honestly drive past people stranded in other SUVs and cars. Easy driving in very bad weather. My wife and I drove to Florida and back with it and absolutely no problem. It was a safe and comfortable ride.
