Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Hyundai Santa Fe--Great little SUV - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By meggers - November 21 - 10:00 amDistinctive styling (you can actually pick it out from all the other look alike SUVs) and a great warranty are some of the things unique to this vehicle. The interior is roomy, ergonomic and controls are well placed. Seating is comfortable and even though I was used to a fancy power driver seat lumbar/sear adjustment, this vehicles manual controls (3)worked out fine. Many of the options we pay extra for on other vehicles are standard on the Santa Fe. Brakes are great, acceleration good (this is not a dragster)and road noise and ride are superior.

No issues when driving in reverse - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By wbito - November 18 - 1:03 pmAlways loved the look of the the Santa Fe so when the time came to purchase a new car it was at the top of my list. The added bonus of a top safety rating and comfortable interior sealed the deal. Two years later, after intermittent shifting issues that "could not be replicated" by my dealer, I now have a beautiful car that only moves forward reliably when in neutral — attached to the back of tow truck. Hoping that its current failure to move at all when in "drive" makes the situation a little easier for the dealership to figure out. Might be worth taking a peak at the transmission this time (?) So far, the only bright side is that Ive never had any issues when driving in reverse ;)

Great Choice - Bought on reference only! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By JH - November 15 - 6:30 amI purchased this automobile based on referral only. I knew several friends and family members that owned Santa Fes and also friends and family that owned Hyundais in general. All reviews were good. I didnt even test drive the car at that point. I picked one out of the lot and asked to have it ready by the end of the day. Almost 2 years to that day later, I dont regret my choice one bit. Its perfect for a single person who likes to be the "designated driver" with friends as well as a great car for a small family. Drives just as good at 110mph as it does at 40mph. I often offer to let others test drive if theyre looking for a vehicle in that category. Great car in any weather!!

Just Purchased - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By The Black Family - November 12 - 9:56 pmWe were sceptical about buying a Hyundai at first, husband sold in late 80s and it was wasnt pretty at that time, HOWEVER after doing research and test driving, we are surprisingly happy with the design and the performance of our 2005 Santa Fe. For the money and the options there is NO comparison. Hyundai beats the competition hands down. The warranty and dealer incentives are the icing on the cake. Hopefully it will be a dependable vehicle and we will definately update our review. Some of the reviews are comical at best (illuminated cruise control?) that would not be noticed if everything wasnt already illuminated. Ignore the Reliability rating above-doesnt count =)

Great SUV - 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe
By kjr2492 - November 11 - 9:20 pmI just purchased a used Hyundai Santa Fe limited with 4WD and the 3.5 V^. It is fully loaded from leather seats to heated seats and moon roof and 6 disc changer. So far I love the ride even though it is used still drives like a new vehicle.

I love my new SUV! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By theone - November 11 - 10:00 amThe car is perfect. I was upgrading from a Ford Escort and was worried about the Fuel Mileage of a SUV. I was shocked with the gas mileage I got. I would like a few things better on the interior because Im a smoker, but Ill get over it.

Impressed - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Ivashie - November 11 - 10:00 amI would never have thought that I would by a Hyundai. That changed 3 years ago when I purchased a Sonata, and just recently traded up for the Santa Fe. I am equally impressed with both of them.

great car - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By florida driver - November 9 - 2:40 pmthe v-6 has lots of get up and go. i drive a lot and love the vehicle. do not like the a/c unit or the windshield wipers. the wipers dont work fast enough in florida downpours but with rainx it is fine. a/c is designed so does not blow in the face and personally i prefer it to be in the face.
