Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Excellent all around vehicle. - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By lsnider - December 1 - 2:00 amThis is a great looking Suv. Along with the warranty and dependability we feel confident that we would by another in years to come. Its fun to drive, and the 6 cyl. engine has all the power youd need. Were so glad we chose the Santa Fe. Our son recently bought a Tiburon GT, leather, 6 speed and he is having a blast with it. Once in a while my husband and I steal it for a drive. Sincerly, Linda Snider,Melbourne Florida.

The Santa Fe is a TRUE SLEEPER ! - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Pokekid89 - November 30 - 10:00 amThe meaning of the Santa Fe being a TRUE SLEEPER is the fact that if more people spent the time to test drive and price compare a Mini SUV, they would realize that this vehicle is exactly what they need. I was always a Chevy Man, until I test drove a Santa Fe. I was more impressed with the quality and design that Hyundai put into this vehicle than that of others that were classified in its range. Hyundai has come a long way in quality and it backs itself up with a great warranty. This Mini SUV is by far the sharpest, smooth riding, and roomiest vehicle in its category. Once people catch on, its demand in the market place will soar.

Lovin my new Santa Fe - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Kevscar - November 28 - 2:46 amI have owned my new Santa Fe for just over two weeks and I love the way it drives. I am over 65" in height and find it to be very comfortable. Besides loving the new outside design, I really like the interior. The wood grain and blue lighted dash are really a nice touch.

Transmission Problems - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By mmh3 - November 25 - 10:00 amWe purchased our 2004 SF 3.5L GLS 4wd in April,2004 in Nevada from Planet Hyundai. With 1200 miles on it, we had to have the transmission replaced. Stevens Creek Auto Imports (An authorized dealer in San Jose, Ca.) had our vehicle for testing and seal replacement prior to putting in the new transmission. There is now a difference in the way the car drives. It used to have a big surge upon the initial acceleration (like a burst of power), but no longer. The freeway acceleration seems to have also diminished. The verdict is still out on the vehicle because we just got it back from the dealership.

Love my Santa Fe! - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By RodanM - November 23 - 2:00 amOn the first tuneup to my mechanic. He said usually he can look at a new vehicle and pick out items that he predicts will fail or break. He said he cant find anything like that on my Santa Fe. I drive a lot and am very happy with my purchase.

Awesome Machine - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Art Lindquist - November 22 - 3:23 amHad less than 1,000 miles on our Santa Fe when we took her on vacation to Gatlinburg, Tn. We rented a cabin in the woods and when we found where it was located we were concerned about how our new vehicle would handle all the very steep hills. Our Santa Fe handled the mountainous roads flawlessly and with the shiftronic feature it was a piece of cake. We even took her on The Dragons Tail, one of the most famous roads for hairpin turns and steep curves. We love everything about this vehicle, the design, the way it handles, I think it is the best built vehicles Ive ever owned. Its been a while since I felt this way about an automobile!

you cant get more for your money - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By russell champlin - November 22 - 3:00 amThis is the second Hyundai I have purchased. The quality and reliability of this vehicle makes you wonder what the other car companies are doing with all the extra money they charge you fora similiarly equipped vehicle. The week after I bought this car my parents were so impressed they had me buy them a Sonata over the internet, "sight unseen." They cant believe the car they got for the money.
