Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • Great features with a small price - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

It really hugs the road. The aircon is great for those that like it very cold. The full size spare tire is great. The stock CD/tape/radio sounds great for a factory unit. The leather seats are comfortable.

Bought 2007 SF SE with no option packages. Priced as a family sedan, this amazing SUV (or CUV, call it whatever you want) performs as a high-priced Lexus! Fuel economy is OK, not great but cmon, this is sport utility with 3.3L engine. Dont expect to get 28-30 miles per gallon because its not a economy car. Just buy it and enjoy it!!

  • No complaints...except for the way it eats tires. - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I didnt see a place in the ratings for that, but it seems the Santa Fe has a penchant for tires. Something I read on another forum about the way the AWD has a natural toe-in or something. Whatever...I never seem to get more than 35,000 miles out of a set of tires, which is expensive as hell with 18" wheels. Other than than, this car has been a gem. My friends bought an Infinity Crossover the same year, for $25,000 more, and were shocked...wouldnt have spent the extra money if theyd known the Hyundais were so nice. But Hyundai was still working the "cheap" reputation back then. No longer. Weve been looking at a Vera Cruz now, but new models are due so I think well wait to upgrade.

  • 07 Sante Fe is a winner - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

This vehicle is worth every penny I paid for it. The exterior body design is such an improvement over past Sante Fes. The interior is well laid out and uses quality materials. Leather Seats on the limited are more comfortable than the cloth seats. All the built in safety features make it very insurance friendly.

We love our Santa Fe. We owned for a year and are very happy about it. Its roomy, its stylish, its very cozy with all those pockets, cupholders and such. It works out nicely if you have a kid or two. They love it because they can actually see whats going on around. Control panel is convenient as well as the Shiftronic thing. Brakes are excellent, it handles pretty nicely.

  • What a surprise! - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe

I live in NY. Fearing my husbands safety after 9-11, we bought this vehicle (a 2002)so he could commute the 120 miles each day to NYC. Driving the Brooklyn Queens Expressway and the Long Island Expressway everyday is test enough for any cars reliablity. With 100,007 miles (and going) we have never had one problem with this vehicle, not even a flat tire. We just change the oil every 3000 miles. It has all the extra features to keep you comfortable on a long commute. It is a great weekend get away car. You can fit most anything in the back. Its easy to park tight spaces and works well on our shopping trips in lower Manhattan. I recommend this car to everyone. I am planning to buy a new one.

  • Glad we bought a Hyundai - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

We drove ALL the mid size suvs. We liked the Honda cr-v. We even took it for a half a day and drove around. We went back to close the deal and the dealer couldnt have been more rude. We liked the car, but not going to buy from people who try and push you into it. So we went to Hyundai. Couldnt have been a better experince! We just love the santa Fe. Runs great, and looks great. Love it!!!

  • Fell In Love With Looks - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

Looks like a car/drives like a car and is so fun to drive that I make up excuses to drive it. Ive had lots of complements on its looks, and the two toned paint color. Everyone is impressed at the looks of the interior. For the price you get a really great looking car.
