Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Satisfied - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Larry - April 10 - 12:53 amMy first try with a Hyundai. Live in NE and wanted a 4-WD. Expected fair value at best but very suprised. Happy with overall performance. A real tank in the snow. Unstoppable. Even my hwy mileage is at 26 mph. (better than book} Need 6 CD player and GPS next time. Front hood slightly overextended. Needs better map lighting.

Im in Love - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Hyundai Lover - April 9 - 10:33 pmWhen my wife and I wanted a compact SUV the usual suspects were top on our list. Toyota, Honda, and Nissan were our first choice. But with one look at the New 08 Santa Fe and I was in love. The comfort level was out of this world. The seats are supportive yet cozy. The SE model came with the upgraded fabric which is soft and well appointed. Controls are laid out well and are easy to reach, especially with the steering wheel mounted controls. The cool blue gauges are easy on the eyes and nice too look at. Handling is also sharp and responsive. Looking at the reflectors for the reading lamps you will see that even the smallest details on this ute are polished and refined.

I dont get Hyundai... - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By heather - April 7 - 4:56 am...for making a car with this kind of transmission. I liked the Santa Fe until the experiences I have had with the transmission. It does ruin the driving experience. And to make matters worse, Hyundai service tells me nothing is wrong with it when there clearly is a problem. No transmission shifts like this. It clearly is slipping and it definitely does not help the poor gas mileage figures that the car already has.

A Previous Veracruz Owners Review - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
By ultcar - March 29 - 10:07 pmThe media said that the 2013 Santa Fe LWB was a Veracruz replacement, but it is not so in reality. They basically nerfed many of the standard convenience features on the Veracruz LTD, so I expect that Hyundai is developing a true Veracruz replacement in the near future. That said, the 2013 Santa Fe Limited is a refined piece of work in its own right. The chair is very comfortable and adjustable and the technology package makes the car feel connected. I do concede that the design outside and inside are several notches ahead of the Veracruz.

Our was a Lemon, Manufacturer didnt care - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
By jsb71 - March 28 - 12:55 pmThe problems with our 2013 Santa Fe Limited (2.0L AWD) began last July when the engine died (rattling noise in cylinders). Shop foreman requested full engine block replacement, but Manufacturing Company only approved short block. Car was returned 30 days later (no rental given) and continued to have problems. 5 months later, we are back at the shop, having the engine replaced again. Dealership is working with us on a replacement vehicle deal, for which we are thankful, but the Manufacturer has shown no compassion. We will be going to court to reclaim lost time with the car over payments and insurance costs.

A regret customer - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By dolphin39 - March 27 - 5:22 pmI am blaiming myself for buying a Hyundai vechnicle. Needless to say the bad transmission and poor mileage that a lot of customers having on this forum, my less than one year old 2010 Sante Fe refuse to start one night, and put me into a cold night waiting for more than 2 hours to have their 24 hr road side assitance to tow my car to a nearest dealship. On the way, the tow truck guy of CAA telling me that he had been faced the same problem lately and feel sorry for me to have a Hynduai with such a nonreliable quality and poor service. So my advice for everyone who intend to buy a Hyundai vechnicle: Look somewhere else and stay away of it!
