Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

A fun car to own and drive. Suffers from a slight lack of decent accelaration power. Holds a ton, and will tow even more.

  • 4 days Old - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

Although it is only 4 days old (Ill write another review in a few months), it appears that this SUV is THE one! Forget the price (even though a huge benefit) since you have to live in the SUV. The overall drive and look of this SUV is awesome.

  • Steering and Driving Disappointment - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe (2.0 T AWD) in March of 2013. I haven’t owned a Hyundai since 1988 and assumed the brand had improved. While in comparison to the 1988 Excel I owed, quality has made leaps and bounds, but this vehicle still falls short. The steering is erratic no matter what steering mode is chosen. Due to this, control of the vehicle, especially at high speeds, is a challenge. On roads with bumps, the vehicle seems to jump when hitting one. If turning a corner and a bump is hit, hold on tight…you may lose control of the vehicle. This is a safety concern experienced by many other 2013 Santa Fe owners and to date Hyundai corporate hasn’t addressed the issue.

  • Hyundai in the Family - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I totaled my moms 2001 Santa Fe, but it did so well in the crash that she bought a 2004 with all the bells and whistles. I bought a 2004 Tiburon GT which I now regret since the insurance is so high on that car, not to mention already had a speeding ticket! I am looking into buying a new Santa Fe since I need the room inside and would like to have a vehicle that I can put a hitch on to haul trailers around when I get some toys.

  • Very nice so far - 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I really like the Santa Fe so far, have not owned a Hyundai before, have had Toyotas and Hondas, so thought I would give it a try. This is a nice SUV for us, not too big, not too small, so easy to park, but still hauls all of us and our stuff. I added a Curt trailer hitch myself and this was very easy to do. The Santa Fe has a lot of options for the money. I really like the surround view camera, I do use this often when parking. Good visibility. Have a few rattles from back seat and will have dealer check that for me, seems to be coming from passenger back seat. I had similar small rattles from Toyota Venza I had before, and Chevy Silverado before that - usually its a cable rubbing, or a piece of trim that needs a little shim or a small piece of felt, so we will see...Also will see how things go with more miles, I do like the long warranty From Hyundai. Other than the small rattle, this seems to be well built, very logical controls and layout of the interior.

This is the best vehicle I have owned and I am on my fourth new car. It is the most comfortable ride I have had. There is no substitute for the price. The Personel at the dealership was SUPERB!! they have treated me like I bought a BMW or Mercedes.

  • Fast little Rocket! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

Searched for a spunky little suv that gets exceptional gas milage. The 3.5 liter is the best choice of engine though you lose your gas milage of the smaller 6 or the 4 but definatly worth it back in power! Very nice design both interior and exterior. I would recommend the tan interior as it breaks up the colors and looks great!

  • Our Sante Fe - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

I love this vehicle. Its dependable, has great seating space and carrying space. We travel back and forth to our daughters home 2 states away often. Our city miles are about 2/3 of our annual mileage. The car is dependable. We never worry about it. Our dealership is very good about service. Since we bought our Sante Fe, several of our family members and friends have purchased one also. We would recommend one to anybody.
