Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

By Tommy Van - August 21 - 10:10 pmAn all around fun vehicle to drive. Impressive change from the previous design gives the appearance of a high class vehicle. The standard equipment and options will satisfy anyones desires. The ride is smooth and it holds the road well.A+++ for Hyundai This is my 3rd new Hyundai vehicle and I recommend it highly.

Isabella- thats her name - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By KATHY RAMSEY - August 21 - 4:53 amI love my car, the only thing I do not like is the pick up at a full stop. It is very slow at first but then is fine once you are going. Pulling out is traffic is not my favorite thing to do with this SUV. I have had a problem with getting shocked every time I get out. Passengers have too. The dealership has twice now said there is nothing wrong. Anyone else having this problem? Winter was very bad, summer not as bad but still happening.

By guccigirl - August 19 - 6:50 pmEveryones reviews about new cars, guess what, mine has 165 thou miles, never had a problem! LOVE LOVE LOVE MY HYUNDAI! Fabulous stereo! Only complaints, wish it had better gas mileage, have to change transmission fluid every 30 thou miles. I really love this car. will drive it to death, it also really holds its value!

Wave of Problems at 4 Year Mark - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By newcarshoppe2 - August 18 - 5:00 pmProblems started mounting right after 60,000 mile warranty mark. First problems with rattling in front end and sway bars, then problems with electrical failure. Not satisfied that paying thousands of dollars in repair costs for relatively new car. Reading reviews, have found that many issues start right after warranty ends on Hyundais. Wont be buying Hyundai again.

Hyundai Hyundai *so good to me* - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By slycindi - August 18 - 10:00 amA+ on price, quality, warranty, and drive. Could not wait to get enough miles on it to take it on a road trip. Extremely impressed - Must have started a trend in my town. A friend has already bought one. Might write another review down the road - once trailer hitch is put on and I see how it performs towing a boat.... Wish me Luck! Would love an extra one .... :)

Proud owner of 2001 GLS and 2002 LX - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Sadler - August 18 - 10:00 amI drove the 2001 Santa Fe AWD GLS for 18 months and found it 100% reliable. Gas mileage was 18MPG highway. A bit less than I was hoping for. It was a solidly built vehicle. howver I would suggest adding a little round mirror to the drivers side to cover the blind spot inherent in most cars.

Great SUV - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By barresq - August 18 - 10:00 amGreat vehicle; The only problem is with the lumbar support for the passenger seat; Hyundai will probably shed its negative image with this beauty.

Great Vehicle - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe
By John - August 16 - 9:26 amShopped hard, drove the 2010 Equinox and Rav-4, wanted to buy American but the Santa Fe won out with the overall value. The best warranty -- $4500 Cash For Clunkers -- $2000 Cash Back -- Under Invoice Pricing from USAA. Priced it against same vehicle previously owned at auction = about the same price. Great ride, fit and finish, quiet, sacrifice a little on the gas mileage and electronics do dads but overall this is a great vehicle. I am going to try the synethetic oil and K&N filter suggested by another review to see if we can get the same 26 MPG. Dealer experience was excellent, helpful with no pressure or gotchas at the end. Looks and feels like a Lexus!

Great mid-size SUV to own - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Queenandsadie - August 16 - 7:23 amThe fact that the vehicle has plenty of room, good stereo system, sun roof and window are a plus. Good turning radius! Plenty of cargo room if back seats are dropped down. The VERY BEST WARRANTY I have seen. Universal Nissan staff are quick to respond and go out of their way to be of service. I am very pleased with this purchase.
