Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

I traded my Mercedes ML in for the Santa Fe with no regrets. I cant go wrong with the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. I wish that I didnt get the 2.7L. But is still worth every penny. Everyone loves it!

Gas gauge a little off but no issues outside of this. Great to drive in all weather. Plenty of room for 4 grown ups on a long trip. Sunroof a plus.

  • 2004 hyundai Sante Fe paint problems - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I bought it new in 2004. It has plenty of room for passengers and plenty of cargo room. The car has great power on take off. The biggest issue I have is they use bad paint. These hyundais are peeling and fading. This in itself is why I wont buy the new 2013 Hyundai Sante Fe.

  • Hyundai SUV worthwhile - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I bought this SUV not knowing what to expect. It handles excellently, makes me feel safe in all types of weather and driving conditons, and is very comfortable for myself and passengers. This SUV seems to be very well built and though I have had it only a little over a year, I am very glad I purchased it, and if it continues to hold up the way it has, I am sure to trade it in for another one when the time comes, though taht will probably not be for a long while. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice sized SUV that does not make you feel like you are driving a tank.

  • Driving Fun - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I purchased a GLS FWD 2.7L on 9/13/04 and have nothing but praise for the vehicles looks, ride, interior and exterior finish, and quality. All interior controls (bottons, knobs, and switches) are within easy reach, oversized, and positioned so after a short period of time you dont have to take your eyes off the road to adjust the A/C, radio, outside mirrors, etc. The drivers seat position and ample glass area make the view of the road fantastic. After just the first fill- up, its getting 22MPG. Most of the mileage, about 95%, was city driving. I cant wait to see what it gets after the engine is broken in.

  • I Love My Sante Fe!!!!! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I use this vehicle for work and it has to go everyday. It has been a real fun vehicle to drive. The reconfiguring of the cargo space is ample for carrying lots of cargo. I haul 250 Sunday newapapers easily. Steering is a little squirrely, my daughter says. It just responds to the slightest of turns.

  • Gas Mileage - 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe

Just purchased a 2012 Santa Fe two weeks ago. This is my fourth Santa Fe but this time I bought a 4 cylinder instead of a 6 thinking it would save a little more on gas mileage. Love everything about the vehicle but the gas mileage. Im getting less with this one than my previous 2008 Santa Fe. I was told I would get a couple more miles per gallon but didnt expect to get less. It didnt benefit me like I thought it would to get the 4 cylinder. Wouldnt recommend a 4 cylinder over a 6 to anyone.

Purchased new Santa Fe GLS 6 cyl. Fun to drive, fuel efficient, good ride. Only complaint is that when I purchased from Planet Hyundai in Las Vegas they had over 100. Every one had a tow hitch and mud flaps installed at the factory which most people dont want. However, none of the GLS models had ABS which saves money on insurance....had to up one grade and take a moonroof in order to get ABS....every vehicle sold in US that has ABS available should have it installed at the factory.
