Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

No question about it. So far this is a great vehicle at an even better price. The finish, trim, and fit are more than what one would look for in a higher priced vehicle.

I like the feel when you get in the vehicle and how quiet it is. When you start the vehicle its extremely quiet. I test drove the vehicle for 2 hours after I figured they ( the dealer ) knew I was serious about making a purchase. I took every kind of road in the area and it was smooth. The excelleration was exceptional, smooth, with no hesitation of problems with the trans. The stero has something to be improved upon I can only load 1 CD at a time. But the sound is just OK.

I just purchasd a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 2WD Limited on 11-20-2006. I was looking for the "lumbar support" feature, and soon realized that this the best value SUV for your money anywhere. With heated leather seats, Electronic Stabilization Control, superior interior/exterior styling, V6 fuel economy, 10YR/100,000 miles warranty, excellent CD audio system, do not bother to look anywhere else.

My santa fe has major transmission problems! I have already had the transmission replaced and will probably have to have it done again. Whenever it shifts, it bucks and isnt happy. When going from reverse to drive it has a very lengthy delay. My vehicle also makes a thump noise in the rear when backing up sound like a brake letting loose. While I like the look of the vehicle, I am not happy. The factory as well as the dealer says this if normal, I say this is crap.

Really appreciated everyones reviews on here. There were some features like the windows being able to go up when the truck is off that I didnt even know about!

So far, this is everything we expected. This vehicle is not only very sylish, but it is comfortable and very fun to drive. The bigges selling point was all of the standard features that are optional on other similar makes -- and the price is still at or below thiers! Definately worth consideration if you are in the market for a small/mid size SUV!

  • Dealer wont support warranty - 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe

After 600 milse the Alternator went out after the first trip on a dirt road. Dealer wont fix car saying the car was abused. Bewhare of dealships not honoring warrantry. A complaint to the Hundia was usless. Like car but cant trust dealers to honor warrantry.

  • A nice little car thats a gas hog - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Really love this SUV. A little spongy on the ride, but I enjoy that type of feeling. Gas mileage really stinks, especially with todays prices going up to $3.00. Also disappointed that I have a smell in my A/C after two months of use, and side bumper scrapes too easily -- I already have several scraped areas where doors have hit the side of my car. Instead of creating a ding, the hits scratch the plastic bumper creating more of a deep scratch in the plastic.

  • Great cruising car! - 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe

Excellent car, I did my regular maintenance no major issues. to this day 15 years later runs great with 195,000 miles on it. Best car thus far in my lifetime. ... I am selling it now, because I no longer need a car since I now have my sons car. I really enjoyed driving the Santa Fe so far!
