Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • Been good to us - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

Purchased new in Sept. of 01 and overall have been very satisfied. We purchased the extended warranty for a very affordable price and has paid off for us. The 2.7 V6 has plenty of power for a vehicle as heavy as it is and fuel mileage is reasonable at 20 mpg. avg. We have had a few mechanical issues covered mostly under warranty. Both front axles cracked and were replaced, a strange squealing noise from the rear that the dealership fixed but seems to reappear from time to time, the rear hatch door handle release latch sticks in and the door will not latch shut if you dont pull it out by hand. Radio goes on and off itself. This SUV is GREAT in snow with full time 4wd. Were keeping it

We bought this suv new over two years ago. We absolutely love it. We have not had a single problem with it. Other than the seats being a little hard for me I cant think of a single thing I would like to change. Smooth riding, good acceleration and very good gas mileage.

  • Great value - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I compared Pathfinder, 4-Runner and BMW X3 and this car had, on balance, more features for far less expense. The warranty is also better than each of the others. It is incredibly well- constructed, quiet and with plenty of power (especially with the combo transmission). Visibility is great. My wife loves it.

  • Great Surprise - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I was hesitant when I considered a Hyundai. Research and friends who are Santa Fe owners alleviated my concern. I bought the GLS because cost figured in to my decision. I am not disappointed. This is a great SUV. It is all that I hoped it would be and more. After having owned Chrysler product minivans over the past 20 years, this GLS is a definite step up.It drives great, its fun, its comfortable. It looks great. My wife and i love it.

This is very good or the money, the model does not seem from year to year. For people over 6 a litle more head room or lower the seat. Can not beat the price of arong $22k loaded.
