Overview & Reviews
Indy Yellow is a new color for the 2001 Honda S2000. Floor mats, a rear wind deflector, a clock and an emergency trunk release are also new standard items. Midyear, a removable aluminum hardtop became available and can be retrofitted to all S2000s.
- Agile chassis, rev-happy engine, minimalist design, optional hardtop.
- Not much low-end torque, plastic rear window, no passenger airbag cutoff switch.

By zman1 - March 9 - 2:00 amThis car is for the driving enthusiast, one who appreciates sports car engineering, with an engine that can red line at 9000 rpms you will have nothing but fun out running everything on the road except some of the elite.

S2000 Review - 2001 Honda S2000
By JOES2K - November 30 - 2:00 amA very nice surprise. I bought the 2001 S2000 in March 2003, with 3,900 miles. It is my recreational car and not used for daily commuting. It exceeds my expetation for performance and driving fun. I have owned several sports cars in the past and the S200 ranks on the top of my list for fun, performance and affordability.

Pros and Cons - 2001 Honda S2000
By G.Brown - September 4 - 2:00 amExcellent car but, DO NOT try to make it something its not. A Detroit muscle car. Expensive mistake. Driven properly its the most fun car Ive owned. Tops Mazda RX-7, Toyota Supra and Pontiac Trans Am. Will definitely purchase again.

Del Sol to S2000 - 2001 Honda S2000
By al abramowitz - August 5 - 2:00 amMy 1995 Honda Del Sol was totalled while parked for 15 minutes. At first I was unwilling to purchase another two- seater until I test drove the S2000. I was happy with my Del Sol, but I am estatic with my S2000 purchased at 56,000 miles. I felt a little uncomfortable about the change in security (soft top), but since I had a K-9 Alarm installed I feel confident about leaving it anywhere.

S2K is the best car ever (for the money) - 2001 Honda S2000
By biberachie - July 25 - 2:00 amYou can say the Vette is the best bang for your buck, you could say that a BMW Z3 or Porsche Boxster are more appealing, but you could never say once you have driven them all that the s2000 isnt the most fun. I have been the proud owner of a new s2000 each summer that they have been built and I have never had a single problem with any of them. 9300RPM are you kidding? Test drive one and fall in love, however I would recomend a 2001 or newer, the synch is bad from 1st to second in 2000 and also there is no clock in the car untill 2001. Hooray for Honda on finally building a car thats a blast to drive and not a blast to your wallet.

Just for fun, fits the bill - 2001 Honda S2000
By Esteban - July 19 - 2:00 amBought for a third car, for fun. Have had no problems, just fun and many people asking, what is it? 2 liter engine and this thing stays up with a base 911 (with a six) @70K entry price, a deal!

driving - 2001 Honda S2000
By beno - February 17 - 2:00 amI agree with almost all of the descriptions of this car, except one: You can take this car on a long trip. I took it on a 1,500 mile trip this summer (the trunk fit luggage for two) and never got tired of the long drive. With the top down, wind blowing, enginge roaring, tach sweeping over 6,500, who cares that the stereo needs to be improved and the rear view is plastic.

Corner like you always wanted to - 2001 Honda S2000
By WV S2K - February 11 - 2:00 amThis vehicle has been amazingly fun, the gears are meant for thrilling accelleration. Gas mileage is impressive, I get around 30 mpg hw/25 city. Cornering is great with the factory tires, and gets even better when you load on some Z rated tires. The ride can get rough on long drives, but this was clearly not the intent of the vehicle. I bought this vehicle because I did NOT enjoy the "family car" feel of the Z3, TT, and other competing models, not to mention this car cost many thousands less! 2 sets of golf clubs fit in the trunk! These seats hold you so tight you dont even feel the turns and focus on your driving!
