Overview & Reviews
Indy Yellow is a new color for the 2001 Honda S2000. Floor mats, a rear wind deflector, a clock and an emergency trunk release are also new standard items. Midyear, a removable aluminum hardtop became available and can be retrofitted to all S2000s.
- Agile chassis, rev-happy engine, minimalist design, optional hardtop.
- Not much low-end torque, plastic rear window, no passenger airbag cutoff switch.

A honda motorcycle with doors!!! - 2001 Honda S2000
By diburrom - May 23 - 2:00 amThis car is a motorcycle w/ doors!! It handles so well that I am surprised when I have to use my brakes. Also, it is definitely an eye catcher, all for $29K. No Porsche, Audi, or BMW is as a complete package as the S2000. It is not my everyday driver but it is a great way to relax, especially around 6000 rpm. Buy one if you can find one, rumor has it that 2004 is the last year of production...I can definitely see collectible written all over this one.

Only Real Drivers Need Apply - 2001 Honda S2000
By Darksol - May 11 - 2:00 amThis is a sports car... If you want anything other than that look elsewhere... This is a car for those people who love to drive their cars, and not just for day to day transportation. There are many fabulous roadsters on the market today, but in my humble opinion this car is the best combination of speed, style, value, and fun!!!

S2000 at 1 Year - 2001 Honda S2000
By James Z - May 6 - 2:00 amIve owed BMWs and other sports cars and this one without a doubt is the most fun to drive. A little weak in the low in power range but you forget all about that when the rpms rise above 6500. I have experienced no problems with the vehicle and other than me wearing a set of rear tires off nothing other than normal maintaince has been done. I would highly recommend this car to anyone.

S2000 - 2001 Honda S2000
By drsayad - April 14 - 2:00 amAfter the initial 1500 miles the engine gained noticable horsepower every 500 miles. Finally around 3500 miles the engine was free revving and much easier to rev up throughout the gears. The suspension specially the shocks are about 5-10% softer than the inital days. Overall the car is much more competitive than its early days.

Dream to drive!! - 2001 Honda S2000
By gche37 - April 6 - 2:00 amThe S2000 is by far the best sports car in its class. Compared to the Porsche Boxter, BMW Z3, etc.. the S2000 out performs them on the road as well as in the pocket book. You are truly buying a car that performs and sounds like a Formula One racer. Its a true sports car! For those who want a glass rear window, buy a Miata or a Mustang. Those are not true sports cars! For those who want wood grain on the dashboard, go buy a Lexus or an Audi TT. Those are not sports cars! I love the car and all it stands for. Go buy one and you can honestly say that you are living life for the moment.

Take a holiday... after work. - 2001 Honda S2000
By salsaweb - March 19 - 2:00 amThe s2000 packs a punch. 240hp power this light weight roadster (go-kart) from 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. This car is for those who truly love driving. I have owned this car for close to a year and though its price matches that of the BMW z3... The performance of the z3 does not even come close to the s2000s. Test drive it, that is if you can get your hands on one of these rare beauties.

Awesome toy - 2001 Honda S2000
By NE BlkS2K Owner - March 15 - 1:27 pmThis is my 2nd car, so complaints like, weak stero and lack of passenger/trunk space, dont really apply for me. I wanted a classic sports car(convertible, rear-wheel drive, great handling, light weight, great power-to-weight ratio and good looks) and I got it without paying stupid money. Great 2nd car!!!
