  • Pleasantly Surprised - 2016 Honda Pilot

I own a 2016 Pilot Ex 2wd and absolutely love it! I am a former owner of a 2012 Acadia and it does not compare to my Honda. I have a family of 5 and theres enough space for us all even on long trips its comfortable. Touchscreen works great, I love being able to have my music played via Bluetooth from my phone. I have experienced FM will sound like static on the station I listen to but I havent let that bother me. Working at a dealership has helped me to distinguished sounds that are normal characteristics of the vehicle that others might think arent so normal. I was excited and awaited for the Pilot ever since I was told the new body style was coming. I love the way it looks, its sleek, roomy and I will never go back to a GMC!

  • Great but a little boring - 2016 Honda Pilot

Its big. Takes up more space in our garage than our old pathfinder. Great comfort but not much personality. Family loves it.

  • Better than my RX350 - 2016 Honda Pilot
    By -

I traded my 2015 RX350 for the 2016 Pilot EXL. The RX was loaded with every option available and the Pilot is stock but I would never trade back! The ride is far superior and the handling is perfect for me, it steers like an arrow. There is less road noise and vibration than the RX had and the seats are far more comfortable. The interior is spacious and attractive with plenty of cargo room. If I have to complain about anything its that the driver seat seems a little lacking in range of motion compared to the RX. in my opinion there should be just a little more forward tilt to the seat. I have to set the seat in a lower position than I like to compensate for the lack of tilt because if I sit higher the front edge of the seat presses hard into the back of my leg causing it to feel numb. Im getting used to sitting lower. I like the back up camera that comes as a standard option, again its better than the RX and the signal light rear view camera is also a great option, it makes changing lanes safer than just a shoulder check. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Some of the review questions could not be adequately answered due to ownership being only 3 weeks. So far, the vehicle has lived up to our expectations. In my opinion a better review would be at the 1+ year mark of ownership.

  • Honda does it again! - 2016 Honda Pilot

Wonderful design, interior is classy, and the Navagation System is much improved. The 2016 Honda Pilot is a winner in every way. If you really want to enjoy this vehicle you should purchase the two top models Touring or Touring Elite....a little pricy but worth it with the upgrades.

  • No longer a Mini-Van Owner! - 2016 Honda Pilot

Loving my new Pilot. I was worried that moving from a mini-van to an SUV may make me sacrifice space. But the Pilot is very roomy. And definitely more stylish!

  • Luxury Family SUV - 2016 Honda Pilot

This car is a great compromise for the big family that doesnt want to go "minivan". My 7&10 yo kids love the 3rd row & can get in/out without assistance. 3rd row access for adults is not terrible for the smaller physically fit, but more challenging for the larger or not so athletic (like getting into the back of a 2 door coupe). But once youre there leg room & comfort arent bad for a 3rd row. If wanting to seat adults in 3rd row, I still suggest minivan with 2nd row captains chairs. Also, since the 2nd row does not offer captains chairs or removable center seat (unless you go Elite trim $$$) its a bench with a 60:40 split. So if you put 1 car seat in 2nd row, you can access the 3rd on the opposite side. If you put 2 car seats in 2nd row, you cant even get to the 3rd row because you cant fold the seat forward with a car seat on it. So just keep that in mind if you have lots of littles. My 2 are just using the 3rd row, leaving the 2nd for guests. & they have folded the 2nd flat & use it for a foot rest or game surface (cards, battleship) for trips. My kids are happy to have AC vents & controls in the 2nd row, but have been complaining of low air flow in 3rd row vents. I have to crank it on extreme High to get any air into those way back vents. But it has been 100F this month so may just be a summer thing. Overall we absolutely love our Pilot EX. And our insurance rate went down with all the safety specs, despite the hefty purchase price! A very welcome surprise 👍🏻

  • Great SUV for the money - 2016 Honda Pilot
    By -

Pros: Very quiet, smooth riding, handles good for an SUV, high quality interior, fit and finish, loads of interior room, excellent sound system, lots of safety features, can surf the web and watch Youtube videos. Cons: Hondalink doesnt work more often than not, bluetooth drops out occasionally, Wi-fi doesnt always connect to phone (tethering), gas cap cover doesnt fit correctly, no dual exhaust tips, 9 speed transmission acts hesitatingly at low speeds and when downshifting going downhill. Overall, this car is expensive (Elite model), but you get more for your money than most other SUVs. This SUV is actually fun to drive like most Hondas are. It is very quiet and smooth riding on smooth roads. Rough roads, not so much. It is actually quieter than my Mercedes. No car is perfect but this one comes pretty close. I love this car.
