Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Early brake failure - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I am very disappointed at the brake life on this car. At 19,000 miles, driven 70% on interstates, I had to have the front rotors turned and new brake pads installed on rear. Fortunately there is some compensation via the class action suit settled by Honda to offset some expenses. In contrast the 05 Camry I traded for this car had no brake problems and had almost 50% brake pad wear at 70,000 miles. Definitely a design black mark for Honda.

  • Cant Touch This - 1994 Honda Accord

Best Honda Ive ever owned. Great on Gas, fun to drive, As comfortable as my 2002 Accord EX. Great Handling, especially with my new 17" BBS Wheels and V Rated High Performance Tires. I added Direct cold air intake, a hotter thermostat, and High Performance wires and plugs... this car handles Awesome! Everyone asks me to sell it to them huh, right! Get your own.

  • I love my accord - 2010 Honda Accord

A great ride comfortable and quiet on the road. Lots of room and a nice big trunk. The mystic green metallic makes the car look real good moving or standing still. i love my Honda.

  • Bad fuel pump - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Honda used to mean qualities and reliabilities. Not anymore, workmanship on the accord is not acceptable. There are big gaps between where strip of foams cannot meet the cabinet. Around 12K, sound of the horn gets so low that I couldnt hear it when Im inside the car. At 34K the gas pump went, and couldnt start the car. Dealership told me there were OLD diesel fuel found in the tank that cause the fuel pump stop working. My question was how does diesel fuel gets into the tank to begin with? and doesnt diesel fuel gets dilute by subsequent gas fuel? Ive been driving for 20 years and know the difference between the two. Traded a BMW 328. Forget about Honda.

  • Will run forever - 1996 Honda Accord

This is my second honda accord. My last accord was a 92 and sold it with 250k on it and nothing was wrong with it! My 96 honda I have put 100k on it in about 5 years and the thing will go another 150k no problem. This car is extremely reliable and would recommend it to anyone.

  • Good car, bad seats - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

The car does what it said it would do, the 4 cyl Is slow on passing but good at hwy speeds. The worst thing is the driver seat for me, it is a killer on our back if you have any type of back issues.

  • Dont try a Honda! - 2000 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car from a private seller after owning a 98, should have sold and had a car payment. I have changed numerous brakes, rotors and calipers, and rear wheel hubs $600(i did the labor). Sway bar bushings went $400. But misdiagnosed as needed 4 new struts $800.EGR port in upper intake clogged common problem new EGR $150 for parts.Transmission metal line that goes to radiator rusted out and started leaking before i knew it, at the same time I thought the front wheel bearings were going. Garage couldnt diagnose it, 2 months later, got P0740 code. Transmission failing! $2,300 to rebuild. decided to buy from junk yard $1,700 with install,no warranty but not my problem. kept it to 137k

  • Accord after an Altima - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

So this 2010 Honda Accord is my 5th Honda. My previous car was a Nissan Altima that had been in back to the dealer 5 times for other than routine maintenance. As paying customers was demand our moneys worth and so far the Accord like all other Hondas Ive owned has delivered comfort, reliability and value for the price I paid. I dont expect a 50K car quality for only 25K. So far with just 2000 miles, we are averaging 30.1 MPG highway! Impressive compared to the 26.6 with the Altima.

  • Didnt know what was wrong until now - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Former 1998 Civic owner---loved it for 160,000 miles! Upgraded to new 09 Accord in July, 09. Fine car but Ive been unable to pinpoint why I havent been thrilled with purchase. Seats extremely uncomfortable for 5,3". Rear window around auto-defroster splotchy. Less than 20 mpg city 29 mpg highway not bad though. No brake problems at 12,000 miles. Car idles rough. Stalled for no apparent reason approaching red light (auto transmission). Thinking about going back to Civic. Dont know if I should go with a 2011 or wait for 12 redesign. Not sure what I expected but I have not had the same satisfaction I experienced for 11 yrs w/1998 Civic. Maybe bigger is not always better.

  • Like it a lot - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

Traded in my 03 4Dr Accord for a 2010 Blue Coupe. I love the way this car looks, it is actually longer than my 03 4dr. Did not get the leather and miss some of the gadgets that come with it (outside temp, auto headlights, dual climate zone, etc). For a coupe, it is almost inexcusable not to have a drop-down drivers seat (leather does)? Interior build is awesome and looks great but could have been better. No chrome accents at all, ambient light gone, no glove box light, no door mud lights gone and housing for fuel release is very cheap looking. Car rides great and Im sure I will get at least 7 years out of it. Great car for me but Honda seems to have cut a few corners
