Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Typical Honda Reliability - 2006 Honda Accord
By Andrew - August 9 - 1:58 pmI have driven 5 Honda cars before and bought this one for the same reason I, or my family, has owned the others: reliability and low cost of maintenance. The only problems have been a faulty engine temperature gauge, which would have cost a lot more to replace in other car brands, and a window issue. In the last 300 miles, the drivers side window would not roll up. This has happened twice and is intermittent. I think the switch will probably have to be replaced. I doubt it will be a costly repair. Other than that, no issues. I just paid it off and plan to drive it to 300k, which is a possibility with these cars. My only complaint is Honda interiors tend to rattle, which started early on.

5th honda and ready for my 6th - 2005 Honda Accord
By 2manyhondas - August 7 - 6:38 pmI got the V6 this time and am amazed that a 3.0 L performs this well. Its a little sluggish in the handling dept but I was not expecting an S2000. I thought the brakes were extremely touchy until I changed them to a different compound. In fact, the only real complaint I have is that this car is very difficult to drive smoothly. Touch the accelerator too hard and it launches, whipping heads back. Breathe on the brake pedal and heads are lurching forward. And the steering has little feel to it, its too easy. I get 29 - 31 mpg on the hwy and about 25 in the city which, from reading other reviews, is pretty good. I have never had a lick of problem with this car and am very satisfied.

Best Car Ive Ever Had - 2000 Honda Accord
By Cyd - August 6 - 3:33 pmBought used EX w/ 36K miles. Replaced transmission at 67K under class action suit. Since the transmission work, only oil changes and tires needed for the past six years. Most reliable car ever! Rides like a dream and at 10 years old, still accelerates at 80MPH. Husband drives 97 Accord, son drives 90 Civic. Daughter has P-O-S GM car that proved American cars lack quality and longevity. Cant say enough about Honda quality.

My accord - 1993 Honda Accord
By henochson - August 5 - 2:40 amBought this car in April of 2010. It had been owned by a couple since 1994 but had been sitting for 6mons. After a jump, the car had no issues coming back to life. The five speed manual makes the most of the zippy 2.2 L. Its way faster than my moms 01 Vtec Accord! Its ultra reliable. I with 171K I drove it 3.5 Hours at 80-90 mph and over a mountain pass no probs and averaged 37 mpg. Lets just say I drive a faster, better looking, and significantly better looking and practical prius! Acon works, but it doesnt love the heat. Sunroof is awesome. Stock stereo is actually great, an aftermarket cd deck would make it excellent.

Worst Accord Ever? - 2008 Honda Accord
By Brahk - August 4 - 3:42 pmRear brakes went out at 17,000 miles & the dealer denied that there was a problem and made me pay the cost. The front brakes have squealed since 5,000 miles. Have had it in to the dealer 4 times and they never fixed it. 3 times they denied that there was a problem. The padding in the front seats is as hard as a park bench, and the leather quality is very bad. Road noise is horrendous. This is my 6th Honda and it will definitely be my last.

Upset Honda owner - 2010 Honda Accord
By Neshelle - August 4 - 6:35 amI purchased a 2009 Honda Accord in February 2010. My front left passenger wheel began to pop and I took it to the dealer only to find out my new car has a broken axle. The dealer informed me that this should never happen to a car this new. I am distraught. I have purchased several Hondas before and have never had this much difficulty with one. I am at a loss for words.

Good value but a few faults - 2006 Honda Accord
By Steve - August 2 - 10:59 amThis Honda Accord showed that the Honda line came a long way. The standard features in the car are what you would expect from a luxury car. This vehicle takes the bumps well and has tight handling. Pick-up is adequate. The seats are supportive and comfortable and leg room is not an issue. Trunk room is decent, and the stereo system is A+ considering its standard. The heated seats are also a plus. The biggest negative about the car is its weight. Its way to light and you can easily feel the smallest breeze when driving above 65 MPH.

This car is awesome! - 2010 Honda Accord
By herb - July 31 - 7:11 pmThis car is absolutely awesome! I love both the interior and exterior looks. It is wonderful to drive and quick. The build quality is evident as has been the case for Honda for many years. I traded in a terribly unreliable Cadillac cts for this auto, and do not miss the Cadillac at all! Also, the seats and climate control system are excellent. Beautiful car! I look forward to driving it every time!

The best - 2001 Honda Accord
By Mr. German - July 29 - 4:53 pm210,000 miles and its still clicking. Regular maintenance done every 100,000 - timing belt and water pump. The V6 has lots of pep, still get 30-32 on the highway, mucho comfort with the leather power seats.
