Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Awesome car - 2004 Honda Accord
By benmoiralamborn5 - August 16 - 7:25 amBought this car used with 78,000 miles, in little over 2 years we have put on another 62,000 miles. Change the oil every 5,000 miles religiously. Other than a new set of tires that is it. In my opinion the body styling looks better than the new models. I may look for a low mileage similar model when buying again.

Nice, but to long - 2007 Honda Accord
By JK - August 16 - 2:01 amNice aerodynamic design, but difficult to park. Outside mirrors are small, the rear part of the car not visible. Sunroof makes the inside ceiling to low and I had only 1 inch above my head. Squeaky Windows in street driving, although the car had only 20,000 km. Interior design all in black and plastic releases bad, unhealthy odor not enough air in the cabin, had to open Windows whenever possible. Not enough braking power. Seats to firm, not comfortable for long driving. Very good tilt & telescopic steering wheel and gear-shifter. Excellent and smooth driving on highway. Radio doesnt have good reception. After 3 months I traded it for an SUV.

2008 accord Braking Problem - 2008 Honda Accord
By Mad at honda - August 15 - 7:40 pmThere is a braking problem on my 2008 Honda Accord. Front brakes have a high pitch sound when you apply brakes and I had the front pads looked at and they are fine. The rear brake pads on the other hand where worn all the way down and I only have (16,000) miles on my Honda. Warranty department just turned their heads. We all know there is a problem so if this happen to your Accord (2008-2010) Please report. There has to be a recall to fix problem.

So Far So Good - 2007 Honda Accord
By Racer0608 - August 15 - 5:32 pmAfter a week of ownership my initial impression is good. I had a 1993 BMW 525it. The Honda does not ride or drive nearly as well. The hybrid system does have some bumps and jolts with all the stuff going on in the drivetrain. As of now I am pleased with my purchase, Ill update the review in a year or so if things change.

Aside from the brakes - 2009 Honda Accord
By Darin - August 13 - 12:02 pmAt 31,000 miles, my rear brake pads need to be replaced. Most of the miles are the car are highway miles, so this really is unacceptable. The Honda dealer only reluctantly shared the information regarding the class action suit and only after I kept questioning them on why the rear pads were already bad. Aside from this, I really do like the car and enjoy driving it.

Transmission Failure - 2002 Honda Accord
By Jana - August 12 - 4:40 amIve 2002 Accord SE and my transmission started slipping when I hit the acceleration from 0 to 20 with check engine lights on, and on further tests Honda declares a BAD TRANSMISSION at 96,400 miles. It looks like Im not alone here and I strongly wish Honda to recall this model.

Hand-Me-Down Car - 2001 Honda Accord
By GML - August 11 - 10:51 pmMy dad bought this car brand new in January 2001, and has had it for a little more than 9 and 1/2 years. Now, its been handed down to me as my dad has gotten a new 2010 Accord. Ive driven the car many times before my dad gave it to me. Its not a bad car. The ride is good and comfortable. The power is sufficient. The exterior style is a little boring, but I can deal. After 9 years in the family, it runs fine and Ill most likely keep it for another year or so before buying a new car for myself. As a hand-me-down car, its good!

2008 HONDA ACCORD LX-P - 2008 Honda Accord
By F. Garcia - August 11 - 5:04 amFell in love with the car initially until quality problems showed up - Premature wear of rear brake pads (replaced at 20,000 KM), power steering pump failed, and just recently (09 Aug 10), transmission oil was leaking (dealer found cracked transmission cover). Other issues by comparison - cabin noise, not so good gas mileage.

My not so sport sedan - 2006 Honda Accord
By Jett1 - August 10 - 7:52 amI enjoy my Accord but just like others the 3rd gear is screwy. I like the space the leather seats hold well for the occasional aggressive driving. I use it as my daily driver the V6 is very peppy. A little stronger clutch would be nice to hold the heavy (fast high revving) shifts but for normal driving it is just fine. For the fuel mileage I am averaging 23-25 mpg with a mix of city/hwy driving. I feel the mpg is great.
