Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Satisfied - 2009 Honda Accord

This is my second Accord and third Honda (I also own a Civic). After a year and five months, I can say that the results are good. It is a very comfortable car, the back seat is huge, ideal for long journeys (my two kids age 13 and 16 dont complain). I can even put two pairs of skis inside the car, no need for expensive add-ons. Reliability up to now has been OK, there is only a small rattle that comes from the right front seat head rest (when there is no one seating). In mi opinion, the seats are comfortable. Road noise could be less, but compared to my 2004 Civic is a huge improvement. I had no problems with brakes or paint, as some other reviews report. 4 Cyl engine is powerful enough.

  • Nice car, but consumes oil - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

I had Honda Accord EX 4cyl 1998 for 12 years. It was a great car. I put 182000 miles on it. The car started to show some signs of wear and tear, but it never consumed/burn any oil. But it was time for update. Because my positive experience with my old Honda I just decided to go with new Honda Accord EX V6, I read positive reviews on Edmunds site and purchased one. Well I am very disappointed in the quality Honda delivered in this car. Engine consumes/burns oil. It consumes about 1 qt of oil every 4000 miles. Just to give you an idea 1 qt it is when oil is below lowest mark on orange dipstick. It looks like I am not alone, a lot of people who have Accords 2008, 2009, 2010 seeing this problem.

  • Honda Accord impressions to date - 2010 Honda Accord

Traded a 2003 Accord for a 2010. An Accord is a great balance of things: Great horsepower, yet excellent fuel economy. (New car is getting 22 mpg in town, and it looks like it will get 30 on the highway. On several occasions, I got 34 mpg from my 2003 V-6.) Interior thats nice enough. Exterior that looks good, at least from most angles. Bulletproof reliability. And a big car that is roomy enough in front/back/trunk, but still handles nimbly. Plus, the navigation with voice commands that is one of the best in the business. All of this for $28K out the door. You simply cant beat it, not for the price.

  • 360,000 miles, like new - 1994 Honda Accord
    By -

Great car, purchased 12 years ago, never left me stranded at 360,000 miles. Very comfortable, very reliable, white paint still looks great, interior looks great. Very durable interior materials that really dont show any signs of wear at all, except maybe the floor mats. 5-speed is a must, original clutch after all these miles, shifts perfect. Recently replaced some wear and tear parts, radiator, stereo, ac compressor, timing belt (x2). Other than that it has never broke down, just maintenance. Although odometer stopped working about 3 weeks ago. About to get a new accord coupe, ill probably cry when i sell her though. Best relationship Ive ever had

  • 2006 Honda Accord LX Leather - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

Special order of a LX-L Desert Mist. Came fully equipped with no extras except tinted windows. Never use the sun roof. Car has been very reliable and gets 25 mph in the city. Only complaints are two: (1) road noise on Texas non-skid surfaced roads is so loud as unable to converse except by shouting at highway speeds. Have been told by dealer that this is a common complaint that cannot be fixed by undercoating, etc. and (2) front passenger comfort is poor as feel every bump hence, this has been turned into a town driving only vehicle. Otherwise, it has been one of the best vehicles weve owned and the 25 mph local mileage is a real plus.

  • One Awedome Honda - 2006 Honda Accord

Just bought this black beauty with 30,000 miles on it and am amazed at its performance, economy, handling, and comfort levels. Its definitely at the top of its class and better than many costing thousands more. I put 18 inch 2009 Honda wheels on it (with 235/40/ZR18 Michelin tires), and it corners like its on rails. The black leather interior says luxury in every aspect. No amenities were left to chance, per the usual Honda mindset. Just put 262 miles on it last night (75 mph freeway driving) and got 29.5 mpg - very good for this powerful V6. Glad it shares its stellar reputation with its bread-and- butter sister (Sedan) while adding a bit of individualism sport to its look/feel.

  • Accords Just Keep Getting Better - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

My 2010 Accord EXL coupe is my 2nd Accord. My previous one was a 2002 4 dr which I owned for nearly 9 years. It was the best car I have ever had so I stayed with Honda. This time I wanted something sportier so I bought the coupe. I now have 5,000 miles on it and have yet to have a single issue. I love it. Its fast for a 4 cyl (190 HP)and handles well. If you want to purchase any new car do it on- line using the Edmunds website. I received six different quotes within 24 hours. My local dealer, who I wanted to buy from, matched the lowest quote. I saved over $1,000 by using this simple on-line method. It was the easiest car purchase I have ever had.

  • I will never buy a Honda again - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

I am on my 3rd Honda. My 2002 Accord only has 76,000 miles on it and the transmission went out. Cost me $3000.00 prior to that I had to replace the timing belt - had an oil leak also the master cylinder! Total in the past 4 months a whopping $4500.00. No recalls to speak of and HONDA AMERICA wouldnt do anything to assist. I have all my service records and always go to the HONDA dealership for repairs. HONDA has lost me as a customer forever.

  • Luxury, Performance, Affordable - 2011 Honda Accord
    By -

Honda has done it again with the 2011 Accord 4 cyl sedan (leather with navigation/ rear-view camera) It feels like the Acura TSX / TL on the inside, is built on the same frame as the $ 43,000 Acura TL. It tales regular gas (instead of premium) and actual does 27 mpg in mixed driving. On the highway you can easily get 35 mpg if you drive carefully. if you want performance, the 4 cyl engine is more than adequate fro passing, merging and cornering safely. Cornering is a joy and almost feels like a BMW 328 xi. Main drawback is lack of AWD version for people who live in the snow belt like me.

  • Thank you Honda - 2011 Honda Accord

I think this is the best car in its class for overall package. I looked at all kinds of reviews. But this vehicle was the most complete & it is made in Marysville, OH with 80% parts made in America
