Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

A long line of owners - 1992 Honda Accord
By Amanda - October 7 - 2:00 amI bought this car from my brother My brother bought it from my Mom. My mom bought it from a close friend. Because Im 20, I dont know who originally bought it, but I have fond memories of riding to my first day of my new school (between elementary and middle), Camp Fire meetings and long car trips. I hope to have many more by driving. The car now has 200,000+ miles and is running as strong as can be expected for an 18 year old car.

saved our lives - 2010 Honda Accord
By scp91b - October 6 - 2:00 amI owned my Accord for 5 months before getting hit head on by an impaired driver doing 75 mph. With a combined speed of 110mph my accord received massive damage. I broke my wrist from the holding onto the steering wheel and preparing for impact. The accident was devastating with very sad results for the other cars driver and passenger. After inspect my accord I was impressed that the front doors still opened without having to force them open and the rest of the car looked undamaged. The Accord design to absorb energy and protect its passengers proved to work for me and my passengers. Thank You Honda!

Fun and cheap to run! - 2006 Honda Accord
By hondo - October 5 - 2:00 am72k miles - original brakes, tires, lights, no oil leaks but a few creaks. Fun to drive and easy on the wallet. Four cylinder engine revs and hums like it was new. No end in sight.

Good Job Honda! - 2010 Honda Accord
By Daniel - October 4 - 2:00 amI love my accord. Couldnt be better.. There are a lot of pros and cons but to start off, FUEL ECONOMY! My V6 used less fuel than my brothers Suzuki Swift 1.6L.. Just amazing fuel economy! I dont like how Honda still uses a 5 speed and no manual shifting or anything. Navigation is a bit hard to use and finding places can be challenging unless you already know the address that needs to be entered. Stock tires are horrible, i feel shaking when going 120km/h + . Trunk space isnt very good at all especially with the DVD in the way from the GPS. Stereo isnt very good and subwoofer shakes the plastic too much (cheap built)All in all a very good car but Honda needs to do some updating SOON!

Keeps Chugging - 1996 Honda Accord
By Abbey - October 4 - 2:00 amI have had this car for 10 years. I finally had to have some major repairs done, to the tune of $2,500, but it has 246,000 miles. It is a reliable workhorse of a car. I would recommend buying this car, even with 200,000+ miles on it.

Easy to own - 2010 Honda Accord
By Big Al - September 30 - 2:00 amI like the car, it is fast and low slung. Brakes seem good and the ride is decent. The radio is very good. Only two problems so far the brake discs are pitted from road salt, and the seats are not smooth when moving back and forth. The brakes work well and the seats still work its just not something I like. I am not getting anywhere near 30mpg more like 20mpg BUT it is only driven in the metropolis of DC. Anyway it is a great car the V6 is good too I love it when I push the loud button and it lifts the front end, real old school feel. I can put a car seat in the middle of the back seat and my other two kids on either side. It works great, not something for long family road trip but it works

I thought Hondas were reliable? - 2009 Honda Accord
By dina972 - September 30 - 2:00 amFew weeks after buying it- I had started to regret it- the exhaust was oily black soot. I took it in to be inspected and they said everything is fine because it passed emissions testing. LOL! Later, when I did casual inspection of the oil level, I noticed that it was dropping- but wasnt certain because I wasnt strict about it. I had attributed it to careless oil change-out. Long story short- Im undergoing an oil consumption test because it consumed 1.5 qt in 7k mi. Car has 32k mi. I have little faith in them because they showed me Hondas acceptable consumption: 1 qt per 1000 miles.Hows that for reliability? You think the car will pass ULEV that it claims drinking that much oil?

Great Sedan - 1997 Honda Accord
By Ozzy - September 29 - 2:00 amBought a 97 accord over a 2000 civic by the looks and I do no regret it. Ive had the timing belt snap on me but because we had no idea of the history and did not take enough caution to change it while it was still good. Previous owner was horrible. With the timing belt change we redid the heads gaskets, radiator, water and etc. Window motors are horribly slow at the front and nice on the back. Ignition assembly had to be changed. Starter changed. OEM speakers are really amazing for their year. Although a lot of work had to be done it was mostly because of previous owner with horrible habits. This car really is great A to B in comfort, speed, and style.

Fun, fast and reliable - 2009 Honda Accord
By Robert Smith - September 28 - 2:00 amThis car is very sporty and fun to drive. The 6 speed is smooth and easy to shift. The 6 speed makes good use of the 3.5s power. Handling is great. This is a very tight and well put together car. Bought the car used with 16,000 on it and have not had a peep of problems. No brake issues at 22,000, guess Im lucky after reading some of the other reviews. This is my 4th Honda, 2 civics and 2 accords, and no complaints so far. For the money spent, this car lives up to the Honda reputation so far. I just have to say, in this price range, its hard to find another car that has better performance. The 3.5 6m is straight out of the acura line up and feels like it.
