Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

93K and a New Transmission - 2000 Honda Accord
By Kelly - October 20 - 2:00 amAfter my 04 Civic was totaled I needed a cheap car reliable car. I found my hail damaged Y2K Accord with only 89K. Three months and 4K miles later, I need a new transmission. I called Honda Customer Service and they said that I was out of luck but I could TRY to get financial assistance IF I take it to a Honda dealership. Pay $3500 for a new transmission and MAYBE youll pay me some back? No Thanks! Also another code was thrown with the bad transmission code (P1164 bad oxygen sensor) due to some research online it could mean that the ECM needs to be replaced (the cars computer which would cost $800). Good car other than that (haha). Hope it makes it to 150K.

Best purchase - 2000 Honda Accord
By Dom - October 19 - 2:00 amI bought this car early of September this year to replace my Plymouth breeze. This car is great to look at, fun to drive, gets impressive gas mileage even when driven not so responsibly, and easy to work on. Ive timed my 0-60 with the 5 speed at about 7.1 seconds, give or take a few milliseconds. The car looks mean, feels nice, and when you shift just right, ooh it gives me tingles. Only trouble ive gotten so far is i need to replace my struts, and my driver side window regulator went so the window only goes up until theres 1/4 inch to go, and i just use my hand to put it up the rest, just cant bump my sound system without it falling down again! Buy this car!

WOW! - 2006 Honda Accord
By TC - October 19 - 2:00 amSuper car. Bought used with about 50,000 miles. Drives excellently. 3 accords in my family. All super! The v6 is so smooth! 6 speed manual takes a little getting used to . Especially after I drive my wifes auto 4 cylinder. There is some kind of flaw with 3 rd gear. Sometimes does not want to go in. Thought it was my used version. But hearing others have the same problem. When you want to get down and boogie . The thing will really move. Or will be a super smooth commuter. It is a real 4 seater even though a coupe. I have driven the latest models. I will not give this one up for one of those. Honda needs to get better with new models. Hyundai is a real threat now. My 06 is a+

Love my Honda EXL - 2010 Honda Accord
By Cheri Westlake - October 19 - 2:00 amThis is my second Honda we had the pilot years ago. I purchased Mazda 3 for a runabout just sold for an Accord. Mazda 3 felt tin like and feathery compared to Accord exl. Fun car not a real safe feeling compared to Accord. Accord is luxurious and roomy. Love it on the hwy especially in inclement weather. I love my new Accord exl. Thks Honda! I feel safe and all my friends fit in comfortably and their golf clubs fit in the trunk! Gotta love it! Worth the little extra to purchase a Honda.

Expensive grocery getter - 2008 Honda Accord
By Frank - October 18 - 2:00 amThis car is not comfortable the front seats are like sitting on a park bench, small, no padding and the leather is cheap. Cheap plastic interior with too many buttons on the ugly dash. Road noise is awful and the brakes are pathetic. Honda has a recall on this car and when i brought the car to the dealer they said the brakes on this thing were ok. V6 engine is a noisy winder when stepping on the pedal hard what a joke. Im dumping this piece of overrated Honda and looking at the Ford Fusion or the Buick LaCrosse. Honda has taken there so called reliability and threw out the door with new generation Honda

Reoccuring loss of Power - 2008 Honda Accord
By sweetman2go - October 17 - 2:00 amThis is the 2nd Honda I have owned a 2008 Honda accord 2.4L cyl since 2008 and I have had a recurrent loss of power on high speeds every year. The problem occurs randomly, and loss power drops to the point that it wouldnt go beyond 5-10 mph even with my foot pressed down on the gas pedal, during this time NO Engine check light comes on ,this has lasted up to an hour. I have called Honda every year to tell them about this and taken the car to 3 different dealership, all telling me that since theres no engine code theres nothing they can do. I had the same problem 2 days ago. Honda is a piece crap and this is my very last Honda. I recommend do not buy an Accord

2011 Accord - 2011 Honda Accord
By Surya - October 17 - 2:00 amAfter a 1 month search I bought this car. I am not disappointed after buying this stylish car. I had Audi A4 earlier and always want a bigger car than. Since Honda cost less than Audi A6, I went with this car. So far its running good. The features are good and very ergonomically placed. I have bad neck pain in my previous Audi vehicle. But the seats in 2011 Accord were good. I feel very comfortable. Though the initial pick up from stop is not that great, but it drives at high speed.

Fantastic - 2002 Honda Accord
By Amanda - October 17 - 2:00 amI love Honda without a doubt. Ive had 2 Accords and one Civic and I probably wouldve kept them all except 1 was totaled in a crash (not my fault) and the other Accord was damaged by hail. The Civic was tried and true but I wanted to upgrade. I have had nothing but luck with Hondas. They have held up and been nothing but good for me. GREAT gas mileage on all of them. Awesome ride, nice and smooth and they keep going, and going and going. I am completely spoiled by Honda and refuse to buy nothing else.

Good car NOT great. - 2008 Honda Accord
By p3racer - October 14 - 2:00 amThis is our 4th Honda, maybe our last. Reliability is very good. Our last Accord was 2000 EX-L V6 was fantastic. This 4 cyl is very noisy but cheaper. Radio display panel is a poor design. Very hard to read in daylight. This is a good car but I wish I had gotten a V6. My wife hates the radio display.
