Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

2018 Accord Sport - First 1300 Miles - 2018 Honda Accord
By John - January 16 - 8:25 amAfter my wifes 1998 MB e320 4-matic dropped a driveshaft (got it repaired) and threw four check engine codes and one catalytic converter code, we knew it was finally time to retire the old gal. We limped the MB into our local Honda dealer the Saturday after Black Friday, and purchased a 2018 Honda Accord 1.5T Sport. I had been researching them for awhile, and had even test drove one while in a different city, and knew that it was the car I wanted. Ive had it now for about a month, and have to say that overall its a great car. Highlights: Honda Sensing is awesome!. Honda has really made the sensing package intuitive and easy to use. Climate Control works well. Integration of Display Audio with the Tachometer screen is very cool. While using Android Auto and Google Maps, the Tachometer will switch to navigation directional arrows with distance to turn about 1/2 mile before you are supposed to turn. You can also have the tach screen display Audio Information, MPG / Range, Maintenance Info, and some other things. Front seats are pretty supportive and comfortable. I drove it on an 8 hour road trip, and found them to be quite comfortable, and im a pretty big guy. Headlights and fog lights work great, and illuminate the night nicely. I even like the Auto high beams, while Ive heard that others just turn them off. Wind noise is non-existent Low lights: 19" low profile tires have quite a bit of road noise, and make the ride harsh (understandable for 19" low Profile tires). I needed to get winter tires anyway, so I took off the 19s and replaced them with 17" wheels and tires from discount tire, and now the ride is much nicer, and even though they are Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires, the ride is quieter. Display Audio has been a problem. I purchased the Sport model over the LX primarily for the Android Auto integration. I was disappointed when driving home from the dealership, the Display Audio System (Android based system) crashed and rebooted itself even without my phone connected to it. Connecting through Android Auto caused more crashes of Display Audio. It was a given, that within the first 5 minutes of driving, that the Display Audio was going to reboot itself. Sometimes it crashed so hard that I had to restart the car to get it to reboot. I tried doing a Factory Data reset of the Display Audio, but it didnt stop the system from doing continuous reboots. Now, a month later, and the Display Audio hasnt crashed for over a week. Im not sure if Honda covertly pushed a software update to my car since I had it connect to my home WiFi whenever it was parked at my home, and i did open a ticket with Honda support. Anyway, the system has now magically healed itself which I find strange, as being an IT guy for the past 30 years, I know that software doesnt heal itself. However, Display Audio is working now, and the Android Auto integration is great. One last low light is the road noise. Its more than i would like, but will say that since I got rid of the 19" tires, the road noise has improved. Overall, probably the best car Ive owned.

Love Accords - 2005 Honda Accord
By EL - January 15 - 12:36 pmWe have bought three Accords, and this one is the best. We have a 96, 01, and now an 05. This one has by far the smoothest ride, it is the most comfortable, the most solid, the quietest, and the quickest. It also has more power, and gets better gas mileage than the 01 which is the same trim level.

Im about to take a pounding! - 2008 Honda Accord
By Eddie Wannabee - January 15 - 1:56 amChose this Accord after viewing several endorsements, mainly from Consumer Reports. Have owned a couple Hondas in the past and I still have an Odyssey 2002 that runs fine. Did not test drive it. The engine is fine, appreciate some of its newly design features. The inside is a total different matter. Rattles and noises showed up after a few days and it has been downhill ever since. I am not talking about expected noise levels, I wish! Sounds like the very structure in the inside has so many imperfections that you get a concert of annoying noises. I am losing money for I will change this car very soon.

New Accord owner very happy so far - 2006 Honda Accord
By tvs513 - January 12 - 4:13 pmIve had the car for just less than 2 weeks so maybe Im a bit premature for a truly accurate review. E.g. since Im still breaking it in I really cant comment on the power/performance of the V6. Been taking it easy so far! But I will say that coming out of a 98Civic I am enjoying the extra punch. The reasons for wanting this car to begin with still ring true now that I own one: proven H reliability, conservative style with a bit of flair and a touch of luxury, a great mix of practicality and fun-to-drive. Not to mention the notch up on the sexy meter with the new 6M! On the negative side the brakes are a bit soft and the suspension/wheels a bit hard. You will feel the bumps.

V-6 Loaded - 2010 Honda Accord
By 1st2themoon - January 12 - 7:33 amI purchased a loaded white diamond sedan. I absolutely love this car. Its as fun to drive as my BMW (which was surprising). The 6 cylinder has plenty of power. Well worth upgrading from the 4 cylinder. Ive had mine since Aug of 09 and not one problem. Ive had 2 other accords in the past and this wont be my last. Its great to be able to operate the AC/heat, radio by voice. Works really well also.

1,100 Miles Follow-up Report - 2008 Honda Accord
By The Lords Accord - January 11 - 11:13 amJust a follow-up to "My First New Car" report after another 700 miles in my new base model Accord. Overall MPG is 21.2 miles per gallon, with 60% city traffic and 40% freeway driving. The engine performs flawlessly. I heard the VSA kick in today during a sudden 110-degree left turn, NASCAR manuver. The VSA prevented my car from spinning out and made me look like a pro. The drivers left shoulder has a sizeable blind spot. From morning, cold startups, the steering wheel gives some squeaks and noises the first time you turn it as you back out of a parking spot, a recurring problem. Left and right sides of the trunk are somewhat taken up by the bulges

Ex 4dr is excellent value - 2009 Honda Accord
By elijah54594 - January 11 - 5:43 amI love this car to death. I drove an 88 pathfinder for 8 years and finally upgraded to this beautiful baby. I love everything about it. The ride is tight and smooth, the sound system is crisp, the seats are perfect (everyone else is crazy to say anything bad about them). The only complaint I have is that there is no fuel economy gauge so that I can tell how well Im doing with the mileage but that is relatively minor. I would recommend this car to pretty much anyone.

Much More Than I Paid For - 2004 Honda Accord
By Hondaguy - January 10 - 10:00 amAgain Honda proves that it makes the most sensible mid-sized car. It is a great design with great quality execution. I have owned several Accords, and presently also own an 02 Accord. Though I was initially hesitant about the unconventional looks of this latest design,I am more than won over by the aerodynamics, safety, fuel economy, low emissions, interior room, and acceleration. The car was delivered with zero defects. With Honda you get much more than you pay for and as a bonus you also have great resale.

From best to better than best - 2003 Honda Accord
By Ted MacDonald - January 10 - 10:00 amI owned a 1994 Lexus and have test driven several 2002 and 2003 Lexus.(All ES300) My new Honda Accord (which I bought loaded) is bigger and better! Firm sports car ride and handeling. Not mushy and all over the road. Extremely smooth transmission that does not go bump! Excellent gas milage on regular gas. Peppy? WOW! 6-CD canger in dash- -youve got to be kidding--at this price? All this and a friendly dealership. I did a lot of reading and bought the car I test drove. High expectations? This car is beyond the highest ones I had. I went from the "best" to better than best.
