Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Nice - 2013 Honda Accord

I traded in my 2011 Accord SE on this guy. Overall definitely an upgrade. Styling is similar, but refined all around, and more handsome. Structure and doors feel more solid, no doubt because they are - Honda upgraded the structural architectural and steel strengths used. Car is quieter overall. I did prefer the driving experience of my previous automatic Accords transmission, but this CVT does improve mileage significantly, better than the manual! I am averaging a little over 30mpg in predominantly highway, but mixed driving, and the highway is done at 75mph. The CVT keeps the RPMs down under light load - around town I dont even cross 1500RPM under casual conditions.

  • Honda made a mistake in 2003... - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

Sorry but after this 2003 Honda Accord EXL v6 ( yes FULLY LOADED ) blew the transmission today after 112,000 miles, I will not buy another Honda. Honda missed the mark on the 2003 cars and we are paying for it. This one has required expensive repair around 110,000 miles including a $3500 transmission, a $2400 power steering replacement and a $3000 paint job due to peeling clearcoat. Note, other annoyances includes door lock actuator failure at about the same time. Didnt most cars fail like this, ie at 100k miles, in the 1970s? Something happened starting in 2003 to Honda quality to let these problems hit the consumer and unfortunately in our case we had to pay for the repairs. It is a sad day, like losing a friend. Particularly, since we have three Hondas in the family. Survivors include a 2002 Accord and a 2003 CRV. The 02 Accord and 03 CRV each have over 200,000 miles on them and have had no serious problems including a rock solid original engine and transmission. In the past, we paid more for Honda quality and expected more from Honda. In my case, we ignored the complaints against the 2003 - 2005 Hondas thinking it was a fluke, this was a bad mistake. And sadly, you can not trust Hondas to the point where you pay more for a Honda than any of the other brand. So the morale of the story is that you must add Honda to the list of vendors that you MUST use a buyer beware approach. Do your homework, delay the purchase and shop around.

  • Love This Car - 2009 Honda Accord

This is my 5th Honda product and they keep getting better. I just traded an 06 Accord for this 09. It is much better - bigger, more horsepower, and quieter. Love this car and would buy another.

  • Great Product--Service is lacking... - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I had issues with the original brakes pads and rotors for the first 15,000 miles which cause other problems. (I purchased aftermarket pads and rotors. This fix my other problems. Who would have guees it.) My other issue involves the fuel tank sending unit (the fuel gauge). My fuel gauge is off by 4 gallons on 17.1 gallon tank. From my experience, serveral local Honda dealerships will do almost everything to put off doing warranty work. When American Honda get involved, they can not make their dealerships to perform any work. By the way, fuel gauge can be more than 20% according to American Honda. Otherwise, it is a good car.

  • My big mistake (worth $22,000) - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car 3 months ago and the car is being in shop for past 10 weeks. My first problem was when i turn on the car it will make big abnormal noice in the hood. Dealership fixed it after 4 days (i waited 2 weeks to get to honda repair shop). My next problem was transmission. It will make big pushes at around 30 miles per hour (switch to second gear). again i had to wait 2 weeks to get appointment to repair shop. The other problem I had was steering wheel would not turn smoothly but will turn with bumps and makes big noice when turn left or right. It was also discovered that steering wheel fluid was leaking. I dont mention small problems.

  • 05 Accord V6 - 2005 Honda Accord

Bought this vehicle to take a six week trip across the country. Went in the middle of August and returned the end of September. This vehicle was so comfortable we never were tired even after logging 900 miles in one day. Also, the V6 performed admirably and we averaged just over 30 mpg for the entire trip of 9,000 miles. At one point in South Dakota while using the cruise control (@75mph) we averaged 34 mpg. This is a beautiful car in every aspect and really fun to drive.

I bought this Honda Accord EX/V6(MT) Coupe after owning 3 Mitsubishis. Needed a sporty car with the room of a sedan. This was the one. The back seat is actually comfortable. My only regret, that I didnt get the nav system. Spend the money and get it. 90 MPH feels like you are floating and dont forget the 6th gear... it is there for traveling. Super fun to drive, my husband loves taking her out every once in a while. She has been across the country 3 times now and done beautifully all 3 times. My husband drives a Jeep and when he stops for gas I still have half a tank and it takes 87. Overall, love the car and would recommend it to anyone!

  • Pretty fun, cool car - 2007 Honda Accord

I just bought this car after my 1999 BMW 328i had some mechanical problems. I am super pleased with this car. Fun to drive and very fast. Would definitely recommend this car to everyone.

  • Disappointed - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought the vehicle in May 2008. Two weeks into having the vehicle a slight grinding noise started to occur after starting the ignition. As the weeks passed the noise became louder. Took it to get serviced and they replace the starter. Two days after picking up the vehicle from being serviced the same noise started to occur again. Its back at the shop and waiting to see what happens next. It may just be bad luck. Another issue I have is the acceleration. There is a 1 sec delay when accelerating. If your trying to move on the highway give yourself some time. The 4 cycl is sufficient but Im sure a 6 cycl would provide better acceleration response.
