Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

1st honda....pretty good car - 2008 Honda Accord
By bluewonder - April 1 - 3:40 pmLove, love, love my 190hp. Was uncertain about going back to a smaller engine because I was coming out of a 3.4 6 cyl but I must say I have no regrets. I have owned my Honda for 7 months and once I got used to the engine and learned how to adjust my driving I find the engine very responsive. I have no problems with rattles and squeaks. The driver seat took some getting used to (I had back surgery several years ago) but I just had to adjust the back, the lumbar and then it was fine. My lights flicker some but it is so minor I had to just sit and stare to notice it. I was not in love with the rear end but added a deck lid spoiler and now I am happy with that look. So far so good!

Excellent car for money - 2004 Honda Accord
By Martin - March 30 - 7:06 pmI traded-in my Chevy Cavalier Coupe 02 for this beauty - 04 Accord DX, 5 speed manual; and I have never regretted this choice. Very comfortable ride, if needed can speed up like 6 cyl.; excellent mileage; I am averaging 27-29 MPG in town and 34-36 MPG on highway. I drive on curvy roads in mountains 2-3 times per week and only thing that I dont like is oversteering, which previous car didnt have any problems. I though that new tires might help, but problem still persists. I believe that weight of engine in front is inconsistent with weight of rest of the car. Only thing that I have done during the year was new tires, some minor break jobs and oil change, but this is OK since I drive 38K/yr.

Problems few and far between - 1991 Honda Accord
By Roy4 - March 28 - 10:00 amThis car now has well over 230,000 miles on it...and I find it hard to believe that any American car performs as well, is as reliable, or looks better then my 11 year old baby. My parents purchased the car new in 1991, and gave it to me 5 years ago (16th birthday)...and it still performs flawlessly. The powertrain is unstoppable, the ride is refined and controled even at illegal speeds, the interior materials still look brand new (though I did have to replace the drivers interior door handle after it broke...no big woop)...Im trying to run this thing into the ground so I can justify a new Accord...but the damn thing wont break!!!

One of the best cars I have ever owned - 2007 Honda Accord
By John - March 27 - 3:10 pmI purchased this car (NON CERTIFIED) From a Honda Dealer in 2010, The car was a trade in (1st ownder purchased it and put 75k on it) The car had some ball joint issues after I bought it, but I took it to my local mechanic who fixed them up and this car has been amazing since then. This is seriously been one of if not the best car I have ever owned. Engine is so nice and quiet even after 10 years of use. The car now has 159k on it, and its a solid runner. Transmission is good too, no hard shifting or problems. I use michelins (nitrogen inflated) and the ride is smooth and solid. I did replace the front struts a few months ago for ride comfort. (dont go to dealer they will rip you off, go to local mechanic) I highly recommed this car, very very dependable..unlike my ford Taurus that was in the shop ever other week.

Review of LX-V6 - 2001 Honda Accord
By long-time Honda fan - March 25 - 10:00 amI replaced my 94 EX with a 01 LX-V6 as I wanted 4 wheel disc brakes without AL wheels (my 94 lost air). Basically a very good car. I have no fault with its performance or transmission. I get a consistent 20 MPG around town and about the same on the highway as my 94 4 cylinder (29-31). Only problem has been a few dash squeaks (not typical for Honda). I find it a bit less of a "sporty" ride that earlier models but it is heavy and bigger.

disappointed with poor mileage - 2004 Honda Accord
By anabella - March 25 - 10:00 amGreat car for the price but very disappointed with mileage. City driving and air conditioning on, sometimes:13 miles per gallon,on the highway: 18 .Mileage does not correspong to advertized numbers of 19 (city) and 27(highway).

My Honest Opinion - 2004 Honda Accord
By MikeyMo - March 25 - 10:00 amI was going to buy a V6 Accord or a V6 Camry. It came down to the Accord for multiple reasons but primarily: More powerful engine, Better fuel consumption, More options standard, Renouned quality. I have put 400 miles on my new Accord and this is what I think: The V6 is amazingly quiet and deceptively powerful. It comes with 16 inch Michelin tires all thw way around. I was doing 80 MPH on route 295 on a rainy day and when I realized it had to slow down (I didnt want a ticket). I cant emphasize enough how impressed I am with the powertrain capability and smoothness.

Got rid of the Ram - 2004 Honda Accord
By JoeBlow - March 24 - 2:00 amNice vehicle. Not much else you could ask for in the way or options. Leather, XM satellite radio, Sun Roof, Power Seat, Heated seats Keyless + Security, & 4 Cylinder power. I love Honda since Ive had an odyssey. I went from a 2003 1500 Dodge Ram (not a commuting vehicle obviously) to Accord. $40 + gas a week. Killin me!!!! Have you seen the price of gas lately? Good riddens!!!
