Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Fun , but. - 2005 Honda Accord
By Mark Deats - April 21 - 5:43 pmI have enjoyed the first year in this 6 speed coupe. The only real complaint is the light feeling of the front end when the torque steer kicks in at about 6000 rpm. I almost put in in a ditch the first time it happened. Overall it has been fun ride although I think the 2001 Accord Coupe I had handled and rode better.

Might as well buy a Fusion or Malibu - 2009 Honda Accord
By Ken C - April 21 - 1:03 amWell, I have had this car about a week. The paint job is low quality and chips easily. The seats are uncomfortable. The transmission and suspension are sloppy and transmit vibrations throughout the car. And I am already scheduled for repairs. So much for the vaunted Honda reliability.

The last good Honda Accord - 2007 Honda Accord
By Mark - April 19 - 1:01 pmThis is the type of car where you buy it and you never want to let go of it. It just drives so well. The steering is perfectly weighted and laser responsive, acceleration is silky smooth, braking has the perfect, even distribution of stopping power, transmission is extremely smooth shifting and intuitive. Everything about the car just feels so sharp. Its rock solid reliable and will last forever. It doesnt just feel like a car. It feels like a machine. And a very solid, well-crafted machine at that. Probably the last "real" Accord well ever see. The 8th gen. got massive and lost the 7th generations refinement and sportiness. The 9th gen. is simply the jack of all trades and master of none. The 7th gen. Accord just has a timeless design especially from an interior standpoint. Its so simple, yet so elegant and premium. I love this car.

Great Honda - 2014 Honda Accord
By WVGeo - April 18 - 2:24 pmThis has been the best Honda I have owned, and I have had several since buying my first in 1987. I get the urge to get a new Honda, but hesitate to sell or trade this car because it is so good.

Next time, go with the 4 banger. - 2003 Honda Accord
By Danny - April 17 - 5:53 pmCar drives smooth and much improved over the previous model. Mileage around town stinks because the auto tranny doesnt allow 5th gear until 48MPH. It rates 20 city 28 hwy and have never achieved more than 24, even with pure highway driving. Ive had miscellaneous electrical glitches (switches and radio backlight going out) which is not typical of Honda.

Cool Car..!!! - 2003 Honda Accord
By berr - April 17 - 10:00 amThis car is absolutely the best in its class. Runs very smooth, powerful, fun to drive and affordable. It feels like you are driving a $50.000 luxury piece. I trust my Accord deeply. I belive it wont let me down for long years. It is dependable, safe and very reliable.

Very overrated - 1998 Honda Accord
By Colin Higgins - April 17 - 10:00 amThe car is difficult for me to get into because I am tall. The suspension is lousy, and it is very underpowered. Repairs include 1. 4 brake jobs (and I dont ride the breaks), including rotor replacement and drum replacement. The breaks are still lousy and the car shudders when breaking. 2. Doors out of alignment, causing alarm to go off and window to stick - even though the car has never been in an accident. 3. Car hesitates when changing gears, indicating a transmission problem. Car has 83k miles on it, but the whole reason for purchasing a Japanese car is to get better engine reliability -this is no better than a Ford Escort.

Hybrid: not up to expectations - 2005 Honda Accord
By berrytarte - April 16 - 6:56 amI have always loved Honda vehicles and at first glance this looked to be a great way to lower my fuel costs and payments. As time went by, I realized that I would have been much happier with a regular Accord. I am not getting the fuel mileage that the hybrid was supposed to have. I have also realized that the missing trunk space does become a factor when you are making a trip with several people. There is also a strange "lag" in the engine between 40 and 50 mph that I just cannot adjust to. The switching between hybrid and gas engines provides a very jerky feel when you are driving at those speeds.

Fuel economy? - 2006 Honda Accord
By Stephanie Morrison - April 14 - 7:40 pmMy Accord is only 1,300 miles old, and I am consistently getting only 17 MPG when it claims to get 20 - 29. Is there something wrong here? I was expecting at least 22 MPG. I drive mostly short, city drives, but I still averaged only about 17 mpg on a tank of gas that included about 120 miles of highway driving at an average of 65 mph. Perhaps I will contact Honda to inquire. The drivers seat could be more cushy - its a little stiff and thin feeling. Brakes are a tad grabby - wondering if that will subside over time. Other than those issues, I think it is a well made car and the drive is very sporty and solid.

What a great surprise. - 2009 Honda Accord
By ggin - April 12 - 8:26 pmIm a very satisfied customer. I had driven several other competitors and hands down, Honda Accord won out. I love the overall performance and comfort. There is also a lot of leg room for both front and back passengers. Plenty of storage space in the trunk. The overall performance on the highway is super smooth and fast. Lots of fun to drive.
