Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

VCM ruins a great car - 2008 Honda Accord
By Joe Collier - June 6 - 12:00 amEnjoy the way the car handles especially the power of the V-6. I think Honda made a big improvement in the design of the car. The Vcm systems totally ruins the car. What a big disappointment. I had rather not have it and sacrifice the mileage....

Two years later, my views have changed - 2003 Honda Accord
By Red Sled Again - June 2 - 10:50 amIn 03, when I bought my red sled, I loved it, couldnt complain about a thing! Two years later, I fell like I got jyped! The window trim peels, the paint is the cheapest Ive seen(you almost need to wax it after every wash just to keep from spider webbing), the windshield leaked form factory, and after 6 months, everything rattled over the smallest bumps! The car has horrible blind spots, and at lower elevations, I cant get any traction out the 215/50/17 meats! The brakes have warped three times, the shifter slips out of the gate under any hard shift, At 4500 miles, third gear went out...then at 19000 miles, second gear went out! So ive had one transmission rebild and then a new one!!!

Uncomfortable Seats, Road noise - 2009 Honda Accord
By Will - May 29 - 2:06 amJust bought the car. Owned a lot of cars and I must say this is the most uncomfortable seats in any car I have owned. It hurts the lower part of your back after a half hour. Its like a hard lumbar that doesnt go away. Called Honda America, and they said that they will document it. If you own one and experience this problem call them. More complaints the better hopefully! Road noise is pretty loud.

My First 2008 Accord w/ Brake Issues - 2008 Honda Accord
By Mark Z - May 28 - 1:50 pmMy wife and I looked at many sedans and decided to go with the 2008 Honda Accord (purc. 10/16/07) because of its reputation on quality. We enjoyed our new Accord for about 200 miles when the rear brakes started to squeal (radio would not even drown the sound out) during braking. We took the car into the dealership (10/30/07) and they replaced the pads and scuffed the rotors. Again on 11/30/07 we took our car in for the same issue and they replaced the rear pads and rotors. Again on 12/6/07 we took the car in for the same issue and they replaced the front rotors, pads and calipers. Since then we have taken the car in 2 more times for the same squealing brakes (they still have not fixed them).

Love My Accord - 2004 Honda Accord
By Rob - May 28 - 12:16 amThis is my second Accord LX 5 speed in 5 years. I traded my 2000 with 169,000 miles on a whim because I wanted a new car. I was not sorry. Ive had my 04 for a year and 50,000...wow what a car! I get 32-33 MPG consistently. It handled like a dream in the snow and messy winter roads. Love the ABS...once I got used to how they work. The front seats are not as comfortable as my 2000 were, but after fooling around with the adjustments, Im basically happy.

Glad I bought it - 2010 Honda Accord
By b seng - May 27 - 1:07 amWe were just saying how good our luck has been with this car. Bought certified pre-owned in 2014, hasnt had to go back to the dealer. Bought the usual wear items: 2 tires, wiper blades, and a battery. Turns out it is a California car, so needs a different battery. That might explain the mediocre accelleration. Reliability was our priority, and we got it. Leather, sunroof are bonus. I like the way it looks, too!

2008 Accord Ex (4cyl) - 2008 Honda Accord
By Josh B. - May 26 - 4:40 pmWhat a great car! I look forward to it every time I get to drive it. I have 2,000 mils on it in the first month. Not a single complaint. I am averaging 27 mpg mixed city/highway. Its a smooth ride. The 190 HP 4cylinder is plenty for everyday driving and passing. The car handles very well and doesnt show a difference on wet roads. I would highly recommend this car to anyone!

Awfull Sound System - 2016 Honda Accord
By Dennis - May 25 - 9:29 pmComplained about the sound system sounding like a hand held radio with no depth to it. Lousy Sub woofer. I was informed by Honda that to hear the sub woofer I have to turn down the bass and vice versa. Even then the sub woofer is not that great. The software needs to be updated by a sound engineer. Even an employee at the dealer after I made the purchase said the sound system was so so. You can make it sound better by Bluetooth and playing through an equalizer. My 2006 Accord sound system was 10 times better. Honda told me that there is no way to help. I have to live with it. Update: Rear speaker sounds as if there is a piece of Styrofoam inside it . Buzzing. Road noise is becoming increasing louder as I drive. Wind noise from front doors. Car seems to be made very cheaply. Rattles and noises. Making me regret trading in my other Accord. Update April 2016: Had Honda repair noise in rear speaker grill area. Still noisy but not as bad. Wiper Blades makes excessive noise during rain and sounds as though it is hitting the left side top of windshield corner. Technician says they all make that squishing/banging noise and nothing they can do about it. Only does it while in heavy rain. Also found out when I enter my email address using wifi or tethering it will consistently change what I enter. I have tried different gmail addresses and the system will alter what I input so I am unable to login.. Checks for test drive: Sound system depth and feel Wiper Blade noise in Heavy rain Road Noise at higher speeds/wind noise
