Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Great Car - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought this car to replace my Dodge truck and its terrible mileage. I have been very pleased with the car so far. Gas mileage has averaged 28-31 mpg in mixed highway and city driving. I drive over 50 to work and back each day and am never uncomfortable. This is the second Accord I have owned (the first was a 1987) and the improvement is immense.

  • My first car - 1992 Honda Accord

This was the first car that Ive driven, and have been doing so for three years now. I havent had any problems with it, even though it now has 115,000+ miles on it. Only routine maintenance had to be preformed. The car has always had good pep, and has no trouble with high speeds.

  • Fabulous Accord - Honda Does It AGAIN - 2016 Honda Accord
    By -

There were BIG changes made with just about all of the mechanical aspects of this car. The outside appearance is about the same as prior years. Having had it less than a month, it is more sporty.... this car purrs as moves along, our prior Accord was extremely quiet and business like. The 2016 feels so different, as well as sounding different. The suspension is improved. we like the wheels MUCH better. We cant rate maintenance cost, or resale value but our prior Accord was outstanding, which is why we bought another one. But the 2016 is not just another one. We didnt know what was in store when we bought it, not entirely. After a very short time owning this outstanding value, so much for your money, we are so very, very glad we did buy it. The only thing that needs any attention is the navigation. It does not work as well, as smoothly, as our 2008 Lexus. We hope that a technician can improve its performance....

  • Transmission done at 56k - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

The car is a safe car. I have been hit in it twice, first time with $10k worth of damage. Thats where it ends. The front bucket seats start to sag. Lumbar support doesnt help. Now my back hurts. The car has no headroom, Im 60" and my head touches the ceiling once im in a comfortable position. back seat is utterly useless. I know its a coupe, but it has NO ROOM. Oh yeah, at 56k miles, my transmission went. I dont race the car, use it mainly on the highway, never any heard accelerations, but the AT went out. Honda has done NOTHING to help me. Im out of the 3/36000 limited warranty, and they wont do a thing. Seriously doubt if a Honda is as reliable as they say

  • This is a REAL Car! - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this 2001 car new. For me it was a move up from a smaller Nissan, and I had been considering a Civic or a Corolla. A friend with me remembers my saying when I started out the lot, "THIS is a REAL car!" and she knew in 20 feet that I would buy it. Now, 20 months and 20K miles later, I feel I "know" the car and am as delighted as I was when new -- of course, it is still the same, so it might as well be new. No service work (besides oil change) has been necessary.

  • Remarkable Car - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

We have owned a number of Accords and this is the best by far. It looks and drives like the day we bought it. Our servicing dealer has done all the normal PM and we have had no mechanical problems. It still has the original brakes! While we have drived a new V6 Accord and the Acura, they do not materially inprove on this car.

  • Best Car Ive Ever Had - 1994 Honda Accord

I cannot believe how reliable this car has been for me. Currently at 154,000 miles and I plan on keeping it for a while.

  • Best little secret in sedans - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

This 4 cyl LX is an amazing feat of engineering, economy (cost and fuel), and safety. Our test drives compared it to the Jetta Wagon, Mazda6, Forester, Camry, and Altima. The Accord was the clear winner in every consideration. Mazda6, Jetta, and Forester were close seconds, but were all at least $1K more. Perhaps I am biased (this is my 3rd Honda since 1989), but this car has been great.

  • Impressive - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

The best mechanic Ive ever known once told me that if I never wanted to see him again to buy a Honda. I am impressed with the interior room and comfort offered in this vehicle. It has become the car of choice for a night on the town with my husband or a long road trip to visit friends and relatives. Its simple the nicest car Ive ever owned.

  • Bad Ride - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Seats are very, very, very uncomfortable. I drove it on a 300 mile trip, would rather have bicycled. Door handles do not operate smoothly. Competition has more features for the same price, or less. Honda customer service is not the best either. If testing this vehicle carefully compare this cars seats to your present car. This is my second Honda wont be a third, except for a lawn mower.
