Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Sexy Coupe - 2000 Honda Accord
By NATSCAT - July 31 - 10:00 amThe coupes exterior is proportionate and aesthetically pleasing the the eye. The clearcoat is extremely elicate and shows swirls easily The 4- lug wheels on the 4-cylinder model appear too small for the car. Unfortunately, replacing them with the rims offered on the V-6 model is difficult because there are 5 lug nuts. I have also noticed minor rattles that seem to be coming from the glove compartment, but have not been able to pinpoint where they are to fix them. The transmission could use some refinement as it is jerky and shifts seem random. The sound system is adequate but weak, throw in a Maxima sound system and the car would be more pleasing.

Honda...still the best - 2006 Honda Accord
By tygger - July 30 - 2:53 pmIve always owned Accords or Civics, and just traded my Civic for the 06 Accord. We looked at the 2006 Civic, but the interior is...well, weird. The 2006 Accord is MUCH nicer and roomier, and the cost is very comparable once you add all the goodies. Absolutely no complaints..we drive a lot and love the new Accord. But one side note: be sure you CAREFULLY check the interior doors. Somehow the factory installed gray interior on the drivers side, and black on the passengers side, and we didnt notice for a week. No big deal, and Honda is making it right with no hassle. The Accord is definitely much nicer than the Civic and worth the extra money.

Im overwhelmed - 2007 Honda Accord
By Serge M - July 29 - 2:55 pmFirst of all, Im the second owner. I had the chance to inherit a 2007 Accord with barely 34k which belonged to an elderly couple in my area. This vehicle was kept impeccable and its engine is superb. Im looking forward to the experience of an Accord ownership.

Great car, but... - 1997 Honda Accord
By JonesHonda - July 28 - 10:00 amIve driven my Accord for 3 years and been very happy. the only regret is that the power gadgets are cheapo. The power mirrors have failed and the motors for the power windows are flimsy; Ive had to replace both. Otherwise, the comfort, design and engine reliability have been superb.

Honda-sized - 2006 Honda Accord
By Phil - July 25 - 10:50 pmThis is our second Accord. We switched from mostly Chevys and Buicks. They were good cars, but the Accords are excellent. They are refined in terms of styling and operation, economical to operate, and just a pleasure to drive.

Almost perfect - 2003 Honda Accord
By JeffC - July 25 - 10:00 amThe 2.4 engine on my EX has very nice acceleration from the line, but I find its lack of passing power a real drawback. At any speed above 45mph, there just isnt any go juce. I also find that it struggles with 4 adults. My biggest complaint is the rear bumper. It seems thin skinned. Someone backed into me and left a ugly crease in it. The damage was cause because of the supports under the bumper. More foam padding would have helped here. I also can feel engine vibration through the steering wheel at 1000-1200 RPMs. All in all, these are minor complaints. The car is excellent overall.

Looking at Camry - 2004 Honda Accord
By Jon - July 21 - 1:16 amHonda has done an excellent job with realiability and resale value, but if you check their history (Consumer Reports) body integrity has always been an issue. This is evident in the 2004 EX Sedan I purchased. Six times the vehicle has been to the dealership, who finally isolated the issue, for a rattle/squeak/rubber rubbing noise from the drivers side door. It was determined that there is not enough insulation between the headliner and body of the vehicle. The repair involved the technician removing the headliner and placing foam tape inside the headliner. For the time being, the problem is fixed, but its hard to stomach the monthly payment for something that rattles.
