Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Great newer safety features--backup camera, right side camera, blind spot mirror piece on left side. Reminds me of my old 1991 Prelude but with lots more comfort. Almost as good gas mileage as my 2011 Civic, may be even closer after its fully broken in.

After 7 months and 7000 miles this car still impresses me. It has a combination of style, performance, handling, reliability, and quality of more expensive cars. I am a car buff and having had more than 50 cars this probably has the highest rating. I had a chance to try the stability control in a parking lot full of snow and ice and at twenty miles per hout driving in a tight circle the car would not slide and loose control ! It usually returns 22 to 24 city highway and one trip rural roads thru mass, Vermont nearly 28 mpg. Does have a little to much wind noise on the highway but that is the only thing I can think of against it. Why buy a more expensive car.

Great car for the money. Excellent gas mileage: St. Louis to Chicago on a half of tank of gas. Excellent cruise control features make Accord very efficient

  • Never thought Id Buy a Honda - 2008 Honda Accord

Debated back and forth between this and the Nissan Altima Coupe. Think I made and excellent choice. The V6 is awesome, and with fairly aggressive driving (80-85 mph on freeway) and decent around town driving I am averaging about 26 mpg. The VCM cylinder technology is awesome, although you can feel it kick down to 3 cylinders when it makes the change, almost like it is changing gears. You get used to it really quick though, it took me a few days. The layout and solid build of this car great, although it could use a little more soundproofing in the wheels wells, when a rock flings up or you are driving in rain it is a little noisy. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase

  • 50,000 miles and still the best - 2014 Honda Accord
    By -

I did a review at about 15000 miles and now I have over 50000 miles on my 2014 Accord EX so I thought I would share an update. As far as the engine and manual transmission, both are still silky smooth and gas mileage easily exceeds the EPA estimates. The interior is holding up well other than the clutch pedal which has worn through to the metal on one side. I replaced the OEM tires at 40000 miles with softer rubber and the ride vastly improved, the original tires were bias towards fuel savings and also didn’t have the road handling abilities of the replacements. On the outside she has acquired a bit of road rash, but nothing that is the fault of the car. Overall, I still highly recommend the 2014 Accord Ex with a manual transmission. The combination of performance, gas mileage, room can’t be matched. The car is a great value. Oh, and it’s never been in need of a single repair or recall.

  • Watch out for the seat comfort! - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

The seats have changed. Theve added additonal padding in the lower part of the seat before you even engage the lumbar support if you desire to use it so you loose the option of sitting back in a flat seat. Most peoples backs are flat and this seat doesnt start out that way. It forces your lower back into an unnatural forward position without using the lumbar support so after a period of time you begin to feel uncomfortable. Because of this design you cant sit back in the seat comfortably, so while your driving you are constaintly moving the seat to try and get comfortable. You cant feel this on a 10 minute test drive. Hopefully there is a fix for it.

  • Fantastic Car!!! - 2004 Honda Accord

I am just as enthusiatic about this car 2000 miles as the day I test drove one. A poor mans BMW. Better than any car Ive owned in 40 years of driving; blows away Camry (incl V6 Coupe)and Avalon, better than 2 Mercedes Ive had. Love it. Love it. Love it. Black with Tan Leather. Handling is superb (though I did change to IMHO much better Bridgestone Turanza from OE Michelin; run at 38 psi all around). Taut, smooth and fun!!!

  • Great Car, Great Value!! - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

I spent alomost 3 months doing research on vehicles with regards to reliabilty factors, safety issues, standard equipment, resale value and of course price. I can honestly say that a Honda is by far the best product in all 5 categories as compared to vehicles in the same class. The car drives and handles very well and is exceptionally smooth as well as quiet while driving at highway speeds. If your are thinking Accord, the SE model is the best choice for options without the EX price tag.

Overall, a great car. Ive had excellent luck with the car, except for an AC relay that went out. It was fixed under warranty.
