Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Brake Problem - 2008 Honda Accord
By Charlie G - October 10 - 11:26 am16,800 miles mostly highway and I needed rear brakes. Honda says its normal wear and tear. I dont think so. Appears I am not the only one with these issues.

Garbage transmissions - 2012 Honda Accord
By Konstantin - October 10 - 2:18 am2012 Accord is a great car as far as the handling and quality of driving, roomy cabin and very comfortable yet one of the main components is complete trash!!! And that is transmissions. There is absolutely no use of comfort of the car when your trans is acting out at 40k miles and its questionable on weather honda factory waranty is going to own up to it. Thay are very reluctant to take care of their defects and they will most likely try to get out of paying for repairs.

Excellent car - 2003 Honda Accord
By dinak - October 10 - 2:00 amI have this acr for abour three weeks now and I realy enjoy it. I previously had a Honda Civic EX, good car, then I decide to upgrade. What an excellenet buy! The price affordable except it didnt came with guard doors and side guard so I had to pay $200 extra, but the the EX V6 with four doors, they come with all these extra. Fun to drive and still I am learning all those buttons. I sugest this car to all of you who wants a good car to have fun and drive long trips.

Great Car! - 2005 Honda Accord
By Tom Payne - October 9 - 7:20 amI love this car! I wanted a comfortable commuter and looked at the Lexus ES330 and the new Avalon. When I finally chose the Honda I felt like I compromised, but realize I got everything I wanted. The styling is okay, but it is silky smooth and the build quality is exceptional. I almost boght the 4 cyl and am glad I opted for the V6. The power available is terrific and it makes it more fun for me. If waivering between the two, definitely go with the V6. It has made all the difference in my outlook after commuting 1 hr each way into/out of DC. The favorite car to drive in the family - no question (over 05 Highlander limited, 98 Jetta & 93 Toyota p/u)

Nice face but ugly butt - 2004 Honda Accord
By Matt - October 6 - 11:10 amThis is my 3rd Honda and kind of surprised I bought the 2004 because when I first saw the 2003 I was turned off by the styling. It looked as if some bean counters at Honda had to cut some where so they lopped the rear end off. It took me a good year to get use to it. When it came time to replace my 94 Accord(which we gave to our son)the 2004 still offered the most bag for the buck. All the bells and wistles for $26K was too hard to pass up. I just dont look back(at the back end of the car unless I have to). Matt-Maine

Engine problem already! - 2003 Honda Accord
By Michael Williams - October 5 - 10:00 amI purchased this car not too long ago, and it only has about 1000 miles on it. At around 500 miles or so, the engine sounded unusually loud, and I felt a loss in power. A week or two later the car started to shake and the engine died! The technician took a look at it. He found out that one of the pistons was cracked! I cant believe it! It was covered by the warranty, but it really boasts my confidence on this car now! Ive asked around other people who owned an Accord about this problem. To my surprise, there are numerous occasions of similar problems! Too expensive!

Too noisy - 2001 Honda Accord
By John Kent - October 5 - 10:00 amRoad noise on coarse pavement at highway speeds is deafening, making conversation or radio-listening an unpleasant chore. Engine noise is pronounced during moderate-to-hard acceleration, and the motor does not sing a sweet song. Intermittent rattles and squeaks are annoying. The car is dead-solid reliable, but I wont buy another one.
