Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

My 5th Accord - 2010 Honda Accord
By mj06iu - January 24 - 12:01 amOverall I am happy with this car. I have owned 17 cars in the last 19 years and Hondas have been easy to drive because of their great resale value. I drive about 40K miles per year, so I need a reliable that I will not lose my shorts when I fall out of love with it. I am a bit disappointed with Hondas lack of extras compared to competitors. So like I said, Im happy with it just not in love. I will say that my last car that I owned for 30months was a 2007 Acura TL S-Type and I LOVED it. At the end of the day I would love to be able to buy American, however the reliability and value for my buck just doesnt seem to be there yet.

just keeps on going flawlessly - 1999 Honda Accord
By mthurl - January 23 - 9:47 amI purchased this car new in 99, and have had very very little problems with it since. It now has 212k miles and still drives pretty close to new. I live in New England and this car has gone through some of the worst winters you could imagine...ice, snow, road salt, pot holes, sub zero temperatures. It still has the origanal engine, tranny, struts, starter, alternator, exhaust and steering components. I believe if I had lived in the south I would not of had to replace much of anything at all (rust has had me replace the brake lines and fuel tank). Aside from that, the only repairs made were a ball joint, tie rod, evap solenoid and vtec solenoid. Not bad for 12 years and a total of $200.00

its ok - 2008 Honda Accord
By evilkev - January 21 - 2:55 pmI came to this from a 2001 Maxima SE. Have put 59k in 2 years on it. Only repair has been the back brakes at 32k. The cons: in same driving environments, only averages 27-29 mpg with a 4cyl, compared to the Maxima that got 26-28 w/6cyl. Thought the Accord would do better than that. Front seats are not very comfortable. Didnt notice in the short test drives, but daily driving 2-3 hours a day results in discomfort. Interior seems to suffer from louder road noise than the Maxima. Stereo is not bad. Wasnt thrilled with the center dash, but its not horrible. The good: It does handle pretty well. When on 100% highway, I have gotten 32-35 mpg. I do like the body style of it.

Low MPG - 2011 Honda Accord
By onlyhondas - January 15 - 6:02 pmI have put about 500 miles on my new 2011 Accord and have yet to achieve anything near the reported MPG ratings. I was hoping that it would get better after a few fill ups but only got 17.6 mpg on this last tank that was 80% in town and 20 highway. I squeaked out 20 mpg on the previous tank that was about 60% highway. Well below the rated 27 MPG for combined driving. I love the car but the low mpg is very discouraging especially since I gave up my beloved Civic to trade up.

Reliable,Fast Car, smooth and Quiet Engine - 2007 Honda Accord
By akxel - January 14 - 6:19 amI loved the powerful quiet acceleration from the 244 horsepower V6 engine, pretty smooth transmission, and very quiet at highway speeds. Peace of mind was great because its a Honda, during the 45,000 miles I drove I didnt have a problem. Simple controls, it was nice to have the buttons on the steering wheel, Armrest was great because it moved, extended. sorry first review bear with me x) Great Ca

Great car...few flaws... - 2009 Honda Accord
By zabdeali - January 13 - 5:32 pmI heard the seats were a little uncomfortable and found a way to fix it! The lumbar support is a little stiff and if you stick something in the headrest while pushing it forward, it makes a HUGE difference. The lumbar goes back significantly and the seat is much more comfortable. Other then that, this car has been awesome!

EX-L V6 Accord Coupe is Upscale, Sporty, Reliable and Even Hot! - 2011 Honda Accord
By tcarstar - January 8 - 12:37 pmThe 2011 Accord Coupe EX-L V6 looks great outside and inside. The exterior looks upscale and sporty like an entry-level luxury car. The handling is tight and sporty. The black leather interior looks sporty and upscale. Its hot! The Accord coupe exterior looks different than the sedan. I would compare the V6 Accord Coupe more to an Infinity or Acura than a Camry, Fusion or Sonata sedan. We also own a loaded 2010 Camry XLE sedan to compare against. The Camry has a more comfortable, quiet and luxurious ride, but the Accord V6 Coupe is more sporty and hot looking inside and out. The Honda Accord is super reliable, so you always have dependable transportation and no headaches. Its a good buy.

GREAT CAR - 1992 Honda Accord
By megsiep52 - January 6 - 3:34 pmI bought my accord with 219k miles on it a few months ago and it now has 236k miles on it. had to bleed the clutch, but it runs great. Leaks a little oil, but its 18 years old and the leak is minimal at best. I love driving this car and even though I have a 1999 dodge minivan, Id rather drive my accord and I trust the honda much more than the newer van. Great purchase! still retains more value than models 10 years newer! Love my car!!!k miles on it just a few months ago. Had to bleed the clutch, but since then, regular ROUTINE maintenence and it runs awesome. Ive

Disgusted with gas mileage - 2010 Honda Accord
By driveon2 - January 4 - 12:10 amI have owned Hondas for the past 20 years so when it was time to by a new car I naturally decided to get a Honda Accord LXP 4 Cylinder. I liked the looks of the car, it drove nice and I thought that with a 4 cylinder I would get pretty good gas mileage. Boy was I wrong! The fuel effeciency has been extremely poor 16-18 mpg in town and a combined Highway & City of 22 mpg. If I had to do it over Im not sure I would buy a Honda again.
