Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • great car to own ,above the rest - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

i love the car and i think i made the right choice, but i wish it could of handled more like a family sport sedan ,especialy on turns, and pickup.for a 240hp engin it should have a quicker respons. i had a 2001 maxima se and it was the same hp but the response was a lot quicker, and it handled better on turns than the acccord, but no where close to the workmenship of the accord, inside and outside, and comfortabilityis unmatched by a car of its class.

  • Good Car - 2004 Honda Accord

Hondas are known for their reliability and the fact that they will stay in good shape for a really long time. The redesigned body style adds a nice touch to an already sporty car. The new sleek lines make it something that is well noticed.

  • A car that exceeds expectations.... - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

We bought the Coupe for my daughter (graduating from a Civic); My intention was to get a reliable, attractive vehicle that she would like and that my wife and I might occasionally use. What I did not expect was to start to covet the Accord. It is one of the few cars we have had that turns heads (red, black interior). Its build quality is at least equal to our last three Audis (A6s, avant=wagon) and superior to our Subaru Outback. Because of fuel prices, I elected to get the 4; it is excellent. 190 hp and superior gas mileage. With the exception of a minor paint issue, the quality control, both aesthetic and mechanical, is first rate. Honda is a world class engineering company.

  • Defective brake system! - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Only had the car for 6 months and the right rear inner pad needs to be replaced already. I bought the car brand new and now only has 14,000 miles. Honda is NOT doing anything about this known issue problem. If you google "2008 Honda Accord brake problem" you will see a thousand complaints about the defective brake system.

  • Great Car! - 1998 Honda Accord

This is the most reliable car I have owned. It is stunning on the road, and is only slightly underpowered. The engine is great, but I would love to have a manual trans with it instead of the mandated auto with the V6.

  • Well worth the Money - 1995 Honda Accord
    By -

While we worried about buying an american made honda, weve come to the conclusion that no matter where you buy a honda, if you take care of it, itll last a long time. all maintenance was preformed @ the required intervals, and the car has well over 145,000 miles on the odo w/ no signs of weakness. Its on its second set of tires (first being the original tires that came w/ the car) and second set of brakes. only complaints are jerking transmission and squeaking brakes.

  • Cant beat Honda reliability - 1991 Honda Accord
    By -

This car just keeps on going. I bought it a year ago with 257k kms, or 160k miles, and drove it hard. it now has 170k miles and still drives quite the same. A few problems were the plastic door handles breaking, rust forming around the hind-quarters (I live up north). I cant believe I get better than 30 mpg on the highway on this car. Some rattles and squeaks, but for a 1991, I cant complain. Leaks a bit of oil due to Hondas Achilles heel, the Distributor.
