Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • My first new car is a honda :) - 2006 Honda Accord

I just bought this vehicle about a month ago. Coming from a 03 Chevy Silverado, this is much more comfortable and fun to drive. The gas mileage is amazing also. I used to have to fill up my Chevy twice a week. I fill up once a week just out of choice. I only use half the tank a week. UNBELIEVEABLE. This is a great buy, especially for soon-to-be moms. I bought the honda because I read about how safe they were and how efficient they were. I would recommend this vehicle to everyone.

  • First Accord Hybrid in Canada - 2005 Honda Accord

Dealer says I bought the 1st of this model in Canada. My purchase was for ethical reasons - concern for the environment. It gets about 9 km per 100 litres for city driving and about 6.5 km per litre on highway: about 850 km per tank. Promo said potential is 1000 km per tank. Empty tank takes ~ 54 litres (tho specs indicate it is larger.) Dashboard indicators help me drive in a way that conserves fuel. But, when I need power, it is THERE - LOVE it! (When I do not drive in the "eco" zone, my gas mileage goes up, of course.) My primary critique is that this technology was put only into a luxury model. I do not normally purchase leather, seat warmers, 6-CD changer, etc.

This is my second Accord and its bigger, zippier and more comfortable. I finally found a sedan with a sunroof frame that doesnt hit my head. Mileage is very good and we have already taken it on a long trip. Finding a good seat position was easy. Navigation complexity is overblown if you are good with computers or other digital gadgetry. It took a couple of weeks - and assiduous reading of the manuals - to get the technology down. Lots of cubby holes and we like the MP3 player connection. The 17 inch Michelin Pilots provide a smooth ride and good corner traction.

This car is fun to drive. I like the large windshield as it gives you a better view of the road. 28MPG highway, 20MPG town. Problems with SRS system. Fixed at least 5 times. Most happened during warrenty period. It is expensive to fix. This was disappointing as everything else about this car is outstanding. Low reliability is for the SRS system. Otherwise a great car.

  • New Accord Rocks! - 2008 Honda Accord

The new 08 Accord truly is a great car! First Accord ever, traded in a 91 Civic which still ran like new! Runs smooth, handles great, power is amazing! Hint: adding accessories will bolster appeal! Also, VIN number starting with "J" means made and built in Japan, where you cant go wrong! Trust it!

  • Wind nouse - 2016 Honda Accord

After 69 mph wind noise is very uncomfortable. It is very pronounced on the upper corners of the front windows( right next to your ears -shoulders and makes for an unpleasant ride

  • Great Car - 2008 Honda Accord

I purchased this car because the amount of time I spend on the road, I need a comfortable car that is reliable. I have in the past had 4 Hondas, all have been excellent cars. My last Honda was an 05 Civic. I changed to a GM and the resale value was HORRIBLE, as well as the build quality was poor. I decided to go back to Honda as even with high mileage they keep their value. This car is comfortable, loaded with options and every one that gets into it loves it. I imagine I will have this car for a full 5 yrs. In the past I had an 89 accord-400,000 miles out of it, a 93 civic 587,000 miles on it and an 05 civic which I sold for 2,000 less than I bought it for with 100,000 on it. LOVE HONDAS!!

  • Almost Great - 2013 Honda Accord

The only thing about this car I dont like is the slightly stiff suspension - and I can live with that. The mileage is good - 27/28 mpg in all city driving and 35/36 at freeway speeds. On a trip from Florida to Minnesota we got 35.4 mpg on the on-board mileage gauge and a little higher calculating the old fashioned way. Very nice! The interior is comfortable and roomy. Friends have commented that the back seat is also quite roomy. Driving this car is a pleasure - it drives and handles very well. It has very good acceleration considering the 4 cylinder engine. The only time we hear the engine is on hard acceleration.

  • Ford Expedition Rear Impact - 2005 Honda Accord

I was driving north in commuting traffic in a.m. on the Garden State Parkway in the far left lane of the "Express Lanes" when traffic suddenly came to a halt. I barely missed hitting the car in front of me (who also missed hitting the car in front of them, & so on). Simultaneously, the car in front then changed to the right middle lane;in my rear view mirror an SUV behind me who could not stop in time. My vehicle was pushed into the left side guard rail, bounced off; spun around; crossed over 2 lanes to the right plus an exit lane; across the snow covered grass median & landed in the middle of the "Local Lanes". I walked out of my totalled car; the SUV driver: a broken hand an SUV totalled!
