Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Want the worst car - get a Honda Accord - 1997 Honda Accord
By DavidG1023 - February 26 - 2:00 amThis is my sesond and last Honda. After reading all the reviews here and in Consumer Reports I figured my first experience with a Honda (car had to be sold for junk with less than 100,000 miles) was an anaomoly. Wrong. My second Honda is just as bad. Fuel pump blew, electrical system has more things wrong than right, alternator had to be replaced. If you want to be stranded multiple times then the Honda Accord is the car for you. Im going elsewhere

Good car but..... - 2004 Honda Accord
By PatrickP - February 24 - 10:00 amI bought this car new on a bit of a whim. It is a good car and I know that it will be reliable but I cant get used to the 4 cyl engine. My last car was a Mercedes. It had high maint cost so wanted to be more economical. It is but need more power. I drove from San Francisco to Chicago and the gas milage was perfect. But going through the mountains on I80 was very sad indeed. Overall good car just not thrilled by it at all. It is one noisy car and you can really feel every bump on the road.

Excellent Sedan - 2009 Honda Accord
By NewHondaFan - February 24 - 9:50 amMy wife and I love the car. The standard safety features are excellent. We first planned on getting a LX, but chose an EX instead for its upgraded engine and moonroof, both of which are worth the extra money. Having owned a Camry in the past, we are extremely pleased with Accords driving performance and how we feel the road. Dont worry about the road noise or seat comfort (lack of). We also looked at Altima, Camry, and Prius, but we thought Accord had the best overall value. Go and test-drive for yourself.

Honda no more - 2001 Honda Accord
By exhondaboy - February 21 - 2:00 amPurchasing my 5th accord was suppose to be a no loose deal, previous models were exceptional cars to drive. I was sold a lemon when I bought my new 2001 accord. The car shakes and rattles, the weatherstripping is poor, and the stereo belongs in a dodge aries k car.Neither the dealership nor the service center in CA has been any help. Ive basically been told "Its yours now" and my concerns have been overlooked. Maybe Honda should concentrate on quality control at its plants instead of making top sales. Honda youve lost a loyal 17 yr owner for good.

MPG is awful - 2008 Honda Accord
By Loyal to Honda - February 20 - 12:50 pmThis is my 7th Honda and 4th Accord. The car rides better than previous generations. However, I cannot get better than 23 miles to the gallon, even on the highway! I drive the same way I did in my 2004 Accord that got 33 MPG. I expect much more from Honda. The dealership said everything checks out, so it is just the way they built the car. Too bad. As much as I love Hondas, they can never seem to get everything working at the same time.

I am sorry I bought this car - 2004 Honda Accord
By Michele - February 20 - 8:16 amI have been very disappointed with this car. The back brakes went out at 25K miles, the battery went out after two years, the drivers side door lock has now broken and will cost a $200+ to repair. The pass-through space for the fold down seats is ridiculously small and ineffective. I cant afford to trade it in so I am stuck with it but not happy about it.

Best Accord Ever - 2008 Honda Accord
By Westies96 - February 20 - 6:06 amI have had many Accords and got the 2003 when they first came out with that model change. This car looks, feels, and rides like a much more expensive car. It looks and rides like an Acura RL or a Lexus. The new 190HP 4cylinder engine has great pick up. You feel like youre floating on the highway and have great control over the car. Honda far surpassed Toyota (Camry) and Nissan (Altima) when they created this vehicle. Ive only had my car for 4 days and already have almost 400 miles on it. It gives you a reason to have to travel somewhere. There is so much room in the cabin. When you sit in the drivers seat, you feel like you have all this car around you. It is a very safe feeling.
