Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Lousy gas mileage - 2007 Honda Accord
By M. Henry - April 26 - 4:33 amThis is the last Honda I will buy, owned a 2003 and traded it in hoping I would get better gas mileage. Well since I have owned it I have never gotten more than 20 miles to gallon in local traffic, which is where most of my driving is. On longer trips, yes I do get 30 mpg. but since most of my driving is local it is costing me a fortune in gas for a 4 cyl. car. it said 24 to 32 mpg. Never go by that sticker on the side of the window. the inside is exactly the same as my 2003 accord they had 4 yrs. and changed nothing to the interior. I will go back to owning Toyotas after this car.

Reliable at an Affordable Price - 2014 Honda Accord
By Fred Cardi - April 25 - 4:06 amGreat car with excellent mpg. On a recent trip to Canada we averaged 38mpg. The only minor complaint that I have is the passenger front seat is uncomfortable on an extended drive. I had hoped the cabin noise would be quieter with less road noise.

Disappointed with the interior - 2003 Honda Accord
By Disappointed1 - April 24 - 2:00 amExtremely disappointed with all the rattles in the dash and console. Dealers have been unable to correct problems. Seats are uncomfortable, however I just came from a Dodge Intredpid which was very comfortable.

Not worth it - 2008 Honda Accord
By Rick - April 23 - 8:30 pmRight from the start, I began having problems. The drivers seat does not adjust properly and the factory and dealership would not change it which gave me lots of back aches. Gas mileage is horrible on highway at 21 mpg. Drivers seat does not go back far enough. Engine performance is very lacking. This car has the 6-4-3 eco system. Do not buy it. When gas pedal is floored abruptly, the engine pauses for several seconds then slowly gains speed. The transmission does not downshift properly... If youre in drive and you decide to floor the gas pedal at 10 mph, the transmission stays in 3rd gear and does not shift lower unless you do it manually. Will not buy another Honda unless changes.

2,000 mile update - 2008 Honda Accord
By Zack - April 22 - 4:30 pmAfter two months, my 08 Accord LX has 2,000 problem-free miles on it. I love the amount of interior room of this car. Fuel economy is good for its size (24 mpg with the 177-hp engine). The engine provides enough power for my daily routine. It has a comfortable ride and most controls are logical, but the location of the volume knobs takes some getting used to. Also, its fairly agile. However, I do have a few complaints. The dash board curves and sticks out when trying to get in. Therefore, both I and front seat passengers have banged our knees while getting in. Also, for a $20,000 car, Honda should have had Maintenance Minder standard. Lastly, the LXs wheel covers look very cheap IMO.

Great looking, affordable, - 2002 Honda Accord
By The Phammer - April 22 - 10:00 amCool looking car, especially in the blue. Ive only had it for 2 weeks & havent heard any rattles & nothing has fallen off (the main problems in the other reviews, they mustve just gotten lemons). Great controls lay-out, esp. the steering mounted audio controls. Shouldve made all seat controls powered, not just height. Also, you have to reach to grab the seatbelt. Moonroof should open more than just 3/4 of the way. I want an ashtray for trash. Also, need memory seat on drivers side to allow access to rear seats. Ride is nice as long as you dont treat the 4-cylinder as if you owned the 6-cylinder. 3 people in the back is not that comfortable.

The V6 is built in the US, poor quality. - 2005 Honda Accord
By TLauer - April 21 - 6:00 pmIve owned four accords so far, and theyve always been great. My wife wanted an automatic, and the 4-cylinder was awfully gutless. Test drove the V6, and excitedly bought it. Ive noticed many small quirks with the car since then - rattles, hard starting, squeaks, and an intermittent engine light flashing. All problems Ive never experienced with an accord - let alone one that is 3 months old! Later I come to find out that the V6 cars are built in the USA. I may not have purchased the car had I known this. The 4cyl. cars are still produced in Japan, thankfully. If I had wanted a rattly, hard starting car with intermittent warnings, I could have saved around ten thousand and went with GM.

Longtime Honda Owner, Called to Return - 2013 Honda Accord
By cirdevsys - April 20 - 5:08 amI bought this 2013 Accord to replace my 2012 Civic that was destroyed in Hurricaine Sandy. The salesman steared me into this car and now I have Buyers Remorse. I have owned many Hondas in my day, Preludes and Accords but this model is a looser. 3 weeks in I called to ask the dealer if I could exchange for a Civic and he said "Not without big fees" The problem is they have tried to make everything microprocessor based. You cant just spin a dial and tune the rabio anymore. I gone off the road, twice already just trying to search for a new station. This car is an overdesigned dog! Take it from a longtime Honda owner. Consider the features offered and if you really need them.
