Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

A family car - 1999 Honda Accord
By DemandEasy - May 12 - 10:00 amLike the look inside & outside. Great gas mileage with 25/30 easily. Performance, ride, feel, quality, fuel economy basically hold after 4.5 years in use. Dynamic performance is so so even in new but this type of car is mainly for family use. Overall impression? A solid car with high quality for years - a huge plus for any vehicle. High resale value is the reflection of that. Complaints? Yes. Screw loose type of rattle noise is kind of born with the car and annoying. Trans automatic gear shift is not the best. Engine is occasionally hard to start in cold or raining days.

First Honda - 2002 Honda Accord
By MOT George - May 11 - 2:03 pmThis is my first Honada purchase. What better to go with than the Honda Accord? I just recently traded in my 2001 Toyota 4-Runner (a little prier than I wanted). Got a great deal on an Accord.....got all the good stuff on it. Saw an earlier review saying the leather was rough and didnt look nice. I disagree. I think it is quite comfortable and looks nice. What can i say other than I love the car! I miss the power in my 4-Runner, but man it handles well. Very comfortable, loaded with features, great audio system, nice quality.

Do NOT buy a 2008 Honda Accord - 2008 Honda Accord
By BLUEEYEZ77 - May 8 - 2:30 pmI have been having NOTHING but problems with my 2008 Honda Accord. First, the steering column had to be replaced within the first month of owning it. Ever since then, my car is in, on average, once a month for servicing. The rear brakes wore at 15,000 Kms when all I drove was highway. My clutch squeaks when releasing it, but they told me its in my head. And now, I am burning oil like there is no tomorrow - its a brand new car!! Honda will not support its customers and fix the problems I have been telling them about for the past year! What a let down Honda - you are suppose to be the best and most reliable car on the road. Maybe I just bought a lemon. But this is my first and last Honda.

Livin Large on a Moderate Budget - 2005 Honda Accord
By Don Paul - May 7 - 5:26 amIn the 4 months Ive my 2005 EX-V6, nothing has gone wrong; no rattles or creaks. Still feels brand new. Serene ride on most surfaces; shockingly fast; very good cornering; most comfortable driver seat Ive ever had; great ergonomics; feels luxurious yet sporty-when-pressed. Engine is a marvel, incredibly smooth and responsive. Usually have driven stick; this is a silky, responsive 5 speed auto with grade logic. Fit & finish near perfect; good brakes & better in snow than my previous Jetta 1.8T; good storage; very attractive 2 tone leather and dash; nice vinyl and only a bit of hard plastic; minimal wind noise; road noise on coarse surfaces fairly low. In general, love this car!

How could you NOT love this car? - 2003 Honda Accord
By gpe - May 6 - 10:00 amAfter about 9 months of research, I settled on the V6 6-speed manual. I picked it up in April and havent gotten out since. The car has excellent pick-up, is incredibly comfortable, and looks beautiful. In my eyes, its the natural evolution of the now-retired Prelude. Fast, classy, sophisticated and refined. I think this opens a great market for Honda for young professionals who want performance and sophistication but dont want to break the bank for it. The editors here have to be three ways from loopy to not enjoy the ride.

1st Honda Owned - 2008 Honda Accord
By Ron - May 6 - 8:06 amVery comfortable and roomy vehicle. Interior layout excellent. Exterior looks excellent. Fuel economy excellent for such a large car. It is a 4 cylinder so does not have the power I am used to because I have been used to V6 & V8 engines. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a new car of this size. I hope Hondas reliability holds out. That was one of the major reasons for my purchase of this car.
