Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Wow! Thats an Accord. - 2008 Honda Accord
By TP - May 24 - 6:06 amI have been in the market for a car for a while. Anyway, I test drove many cars including the Camry and Avalon. The Camry just wasnt the car I was looking for and the Avalon equipped with the options I was looking for was more than I wanted to spend. Anyway, I drove to the Honda Dealership and didnt realize they changed the styling of the Accord in 08. At first I thought somebody drove an Acura to the Honda dealership. I absolutely love the styling. It was the combination I was looking for, great look, good value, decent gas mileage, and Hondas resale value.

Competent, not spectacular - 2009 Honda Accord
By arun11 - May 22 - 9:06 amWhen I researched this car, complaints seem be centered around VCM, uncomfortable seats, road noise, and brake issues. 300 miles after I purchased this car, I am yet to experience issues in any of these areas. VCM seems to work fine; Ive driven up and down hills and on straight roads, speeds up to 70 mph, and transitions are far less noticeable than gear changes. I do not consider road noise an issue as long as you dont compare it to a Lexus. I am yet to experience any issues with the brakes. Overall, seems to be a well built car, handles far better than my old Camry, and am reasonably satisfied with it.

Great machine with one or two issues... - 2015 Honda Accord
By RSJ - May 20 - 1:05 amI test drove this car thinking I might like to upgrade from my current Civic EX Sedan. I liked most everything about the car. The seats were comfortable, the cabin is open and spacious and the interior seems to be high quality. The ride and handling were excellent as usual with a Honda. The only two drawbacks where the behavior of the transmission/6 cylinder engine with the "active cylinder management" system and the controls for climate and entertainment. The transmission/engine behavior is VERY noticeable each time the computer switches between less cylinders and all cylinders in the V6 engine. It is particularly pronounced in around town, stop and go type driving. There is a constant hesitancy when you push the gas pedal and you feel the transition from 3 cylinders to 6 every time. I imagine someone who was taking this car out on the freeway a lot for cruising type driving would be happy but if you drive a lot around town, you may be annoyed like I was with the behavior of the engine/transmission. Once it "makes up its mind" how many cylinders, it GOES with gusto and is extremely smooth and quiet. The other thing I found annoying was the entertainment and climate controls - talk about confusing! I could not figure out how to get just a simple FM radio station to play with all the press and toggle actions necessary and TWO screens to look at. Honda desperately needs to simplify this system! I could not imagine trying to manage this while driving - disaster! Other than the two issues I mentioned, this was an impressive automobile - maybe as they continue to refine this car, they will work out the cylinder management system issues and the logic of the controls!

Good Service - 2014 Honda Accord
By Tim - May 19 - 2:06 pmMake sure you know all the feature you are NOT getting. Car is excellent but some features that would usually be expected because of other features are not there. For example the care has a backup camera but does not have XM radio.

Santa was good to me, Got my dream car.. - 2005 Honda Accord
By YoJim - May 18 - 10:33 pmMust have done something good this year to get a way-cool car. Love the whole package. Honda took a risk in 03 when they did a major overhaul of their successful car (I still own a 98 Accord), but well worth it. Love the leather interior and all the amenities (dual heated seats, excellent ride, 110k between tune-ups, etc.). Would highly reccommend giving this car a test drive. My wife has the 02 Camary. Comparing the two side by side, the Accord is head and shoulders the better value.

Good but clunky clutch - 2002 Honda Accord
By spooley - May 17 - 2:00 amStylish and easy to handle. A good replacement for a 1988 MX-6. Nice interior features. Maybe a little under- powered.

Well built car - 2006 Honda Accord
By Al - May 15 - 2:46 pmI was in need to get a new car and I had made my decision on the Corolla. I tried Hundai, used Lexus, Toyota, Mazda and I decided to visit a Honda dealer and figured for a couple thousand more I could buy a much better car. You can feel a difference from your normal car and the Accord. If you dont mind flipping your rear view mirror at night time, you will save a lot of money for the exact same car.
