Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Constant jittering except on the smoothest of roads - 2011 Honda Accord
By jimbo1937 - March 20 - 8:21 pmWow, what a disappointing ride after driving a smooth Prius! Except on the very best roads, the car is constantly jittering and taking road imperfections hard. Watch your right leg it will be constantly moving. Why hasnt Honda corrected this problem? Why do so few comment on it? Dont know why I didnt pick this up on my test drive. Tire pressure at 32. Within two minutes of being in the car, my granddaughter asked me if I HAD test driven it. Love the design and interior, with the heated seats and Bluetooth, but the ride is the key to enjoyment, and the car fails on this test.

Honda Lover - 2010 Honda Accord
By molliebear1979 - March 17 - 7:39 pmThis is my 4th Honda Accord but my first 4 door. I feel that they down grated on the interior. Everything is plastic. I find the car rattles at times when the ac is running. It doesnt do it all the time. It also makes a loud noise when the temp outside changes when I turn my ac on. Is anyone else hearing any noises kind of like a roar noise when the ac is on? I love my Honda other than the ac noise.

PLEASE READ - 2011 Honda Accord
By nomorhonda4m - March 16 - 10:47 amI have a 2010 Accord V6 Nav. nice car. I bought this car because I drive allmost 200 miles a day to and from work. When it was time for my first oil change my car was 3 qts low of oil. Well not to panic thinking maybe it was low from the factory i said nothing. Next oil change same thing so then the tec. tells me to bring the car in every 1000 miles to have the oil checked. Well end result is the cat (2010 Honda Accord) uses one qrt enery 1200 miles and HONDA is saying that is normal oil consumtion. (WHAT) and there is nothing they can do. In reading online about it some people are fouling spark plug and having Catalytic Converter problems! So it is for sale if anyone is intersted. (Cheap)

Electrical Lemon - 2004 Honda Accord
By kiisha - March 15 - 3:58 pmI have a little over 120,000 miles on my car. I bought it new and since 2006 I have had 4 electrical problems. It all started w/ a recall on the radio whose screen is currently fading in/out Im certain its on the verge of going black. The entire middle console is no longer illuminated making it difficult at night to navigate controls. The price alone to do just a diagnostic test is $150! The actuator on the passenger window was replaced TWICE under warranty (problem disengaged power windows). The lock on the driver door malfunctioned-covered by warranty. The most recent problem-trunk lock became inoperable-actuator replaced for the grand total (incl. labor) $263. Honda has disappointed me!

77K Dealer Maintained, Bad Transmission - 2002 Honda Accord
By thx123 - March 13 - 5:15 pmClearly this models transmission has a design flaw. So many transmission failures at 70k mileage. I used to believe that people can drive a Honda and not worry about any major problem before 100K. Its certainly not the case for us, though our Accord has always been dealership maintained. My Honda dealer first asked us to spend nearly $1k to replace two broken engine mounts, then told us the transmission still needs to be replaced, and would cost another $4,6K, which is comparable to the kbbs used car price. Its a class action law suit waiting to happen. I think weve got enough people just from this review page. Honda, please take this issue seriously, dont try to hide from it.

One Sharp Car! Must keep tires at 34+ - 2011 Honda Accord
By nyjock9 - March 11 - 5:42 pmPicked up my Accord Coup EXL V6 Automatic, polished Metal Metallac,w Black leather interior on Jan 28th for 26,300$ before tax with splash and door guards, wheel locks and trunk tray included. Have 1,000 miles now and my V6 is getting 28mpg highway,15mpg city, fine for such a fast car. Ive gotten nothing but praise since i bought the car, surprised i dont see more on the road here in the NY area. One thing i did notice is the dealership had the tire pressue at bout 38lbs!,I knocked them down to bout 35 lbs of pressure and the car is getting fine mileage with great handling and response from a dead stop, any less than 35lbs and the car feels sluggish and the gas mileage drops bout 2 or 3 mpg.

READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!!! - 2008 Honda Accord
By shawnamk - March 8 - 9:47 pmI am so upset with Honda and this car! This was my very first new car I have had. I went with a Honda because I wanted something reliable and long lasting. This is the complete opposite. I had same problem with brakes at 17,000 miles, had it in the shop b/c paint was chipping around windows and bumper. Last night it broke down and I had to get a jump at midnight in the middle of no where. Seriously my 2.5 year old car broke down?? Its now in the shop for that and also b/c my engine sounds crazy loud and sounds like its ticking. Dealer said the ticking and loud engine are normal. I need to get rid of this car so I guess I paid $15,000 to drive for 2.5 yrs. Dont BUY!!

Great car for the price - 2010 Honda Accord
By arizgeorge1 - March 8 - 9:50 amMy 2010 Accord is very comfortable and the 4 cyl is adquate for my type of driving. I have almost 4000 miles on it and the gas mileage is reasonable. Interior and outside design is similar to other vehicles in its price range -- nothing unique. I was disappointed that an outside temperature gauge is only available on the top model. For highway safety reasons, it should be standard across the board! Dont expect any technical support from Customer Service at Honda headquarters. They will just refer you back to your dealer.

Love this car! - 2000 Honda Accord
By idahoguy248 - March 7 - 4:42 amBought my 2000 Honda Ex with 100000 miles on it. It now has 165000 and runs like new. I havent had to do anything to it except change the oil ever 3k miles. Dont know if tranny was replaced before I bought it but I dont think it was. Honda hit the nail on the head with this car. Easy on the eyes and wallet. Plan to drive another 100k.

I plan to run it into the ground... - 2007 Honda Accord
By briangrim310 - March 4 - 1:02 pmI bought my 2007 Honda Accord EX-L (4 cylinder, automatic, 4 door) new from a Honda dealer in April of 2007. Ive put just under 60,000 miles on it in almost 4 years. I really have no complaints so far. Ive been following the proper maintenance and oil change cycles. Took it to a Honda dealer for the first 50,000 miles and have now been using a trusted local mechanic for larger (and more costly) scheduled maintenance. Driving 84 miles round trip to and from work for the last 6 months, and its been as reliable as it always has. I have every intention of driving this car into the ground, and I have no reason to believe it will let me down.
