Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Perfect Vehicle - 1991 Honda Accord
By lstpierr - June 4 - 10:00 amWell, what can you say, 11 years later, and just about drives like the day it came off the lot. Peppy for a 4cyl, handles great, just totally reliable. I had to replace a valve 110k in, it now has 130k and still going strong. As you can see by others in this column, its still a baby. It still has an excellent exterior as well, no rust, paint job still holding up, very stylish, just love the car!!!

Not Much - 2007 Honda Accord
By lzainster - June 3 - 4:56 pmI just purchased a new 2007 Honda Accord. I really didnt like the power of the engine. It could have more torque and horsepower. But overall I really like the 2007 Honda accord. I like to drive it but still dont feel the power. The smooth ride will give some a headache.

Solid car for a decent price - 2016 Honda Accord
By Shem - June 3 - 2:44 amI have the 2016 Accord LX. I bought it used with about 3000 miles on it from my local MN dealer. It was to replace my 2000 Honda Civic coupe that I had owned for around 13 years and it had 235,000 miles on it. Needless to say I am a Honda loyalist, but not one who is blind to Hondas faults. I test drove a CR-V and a Camry and this car and settled for Honda because I still like the feel of the Accord better. The car is still mostly Honda in how it drives and sounds. The CVT takes a little getting used to but is not bad overall. It gets excellent gas mileage, I average around 32-34 mpg in mostly highway driving with some city driving mixed in there. The power is excellent for a four cylinder but you will not be drag racing anyone out there, buy a different car for that. I love the exterior styling and I think it is one of the better looking Accords in recent years. Generally, I am happy with the car. That is all the good stuff. Now for the bad. This car is neither quiet nor particularly compliant in the NVH department. I am ok with that because having owned Honda cars for a long time I know they arent always the best at NVH. I will trade the noisiness for the benefits in the handling department. There is, however, in my car a particularly annoying wind noise at the B pillar, right at ear level, when the car is at highway speeds. This is on both the driver and passenger sides. I will have the dealership look at this and update the review based on what they do. Road noise varies depending on the surface and can become obtrusive at times. There is a vibration that this car has at idle and it might have something to do with accessories like AC/climate control cycling on and off. More troubling is a slight vibration that can be felt in the steering and gas pedal during acceleration and at certain speeds on the highway. Time will tell how this resolves itself. Could be anything as simple as an out of balance wheel to as complicated as a CVT issue. Will update when I know more. The brakes are good and I can stop this car easily without jerking my passengers around. There is also a fair amount of body lean in the LX model when cornering at anything close to aggressive speeds. With all these flaws I still love this car and I hope it lasts longer than my faithful old Civic.

Surprised - 2004 Honda Accord
By Ralph - June 2 - 2:40 amThis car is a real dissapointment in the ride on a road with any bumps. It lets you feel every small crack in the road. It it a worse ride than a Chevy truck we own. The other least favorite item is the Automatic temperature control system. The only thing automatic is what you tell the system that you want. Getting it to setpoint is all up to you after that.

Cool blue lady - 2007 Honda Accord
By COOL BLUE LADY - June 1 - 12:33 pmHave less than 1,000 miles so far. Went from a 99 Chrysler Concord with 180,000 miles to my first-ever 4-cyl Accord. Like it much more than I thought I would. Gas mileage on first tank was 29.9, second was around 28. Currently on my third tank. Miss the trip computer, power driver seats, and automatic door locks from the Chrysler. Im enjoying it a lot so far. Love the cool blue color.

My Accord EX - 2002 Honda Accord
By Mikkos - June 1 - 10:00 amThis is a nice car. Im really glad that I purchased it. I have the EX trim which is loaded with good features as ABS, Keyless entry, CD changer, Moonroof and side airbags. Although I do have some complaints. This vehicle has alot of sqeaks and rattles. The sunroof rattles alot when the sun shade is opened.

almost perfect - 2003 Honda Accord
By Trkerjim - June 1 - 10:00 amMy 1st honda automobile and it wont be the last. As a diehard GM owner I was very skeptical about buying one but my daughter has a 97 civic with well over 100k on it and it still runs and drives like a new car. This car has plenty of power for the average person, fun to drive, easy to maintain. the only problem Ive had was the carpet on the passengers side was loose from the trim.Ive taken fairly long trips(600- 750) and it has gotten over 35mpg at over 75 mph. Id buy another one in a heartbeat if I was in the market for a car.
