Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Outstanding car! - 2005 Honda Accord
By lockerc18 - June 21 - 2:30 pmOur 3rd Accord. Cant find a better value for the money. Reliable, economical, spacious, loads of fun to drive. The coupe is a better looking exterior design, but has too many blind spots because of the roof pillars, and of course, the back seat is useless. So, the sedan wins.

I love this car! - 2007 Honda Accord
By Sonia - June 20 - 12:53 amFirst week with new Honda EX - no regrets. Car is very smooth, quiet, roomy. Dark Graphite color looks great on it, grey interior matches with metal trims - very elegant. Fuel economy after first week not bad at all. On first tank gas 70% hwy 30% city my averege is around 32 mpg! Love it!

Accord vs impala - 2017 Honda Accord
By Steve R - June 16 - 1:49 pmI had previously purchased nine new Chevrolets over two decades My most recent to Chevys were impalas. I was ready to buy another impala. But the new impalas, while they had a four cylinder available, really needed a v six. The fuel economy with that was dismal. 18 mpg in city. Nevertheless i had picked out the model, trim packages and colr i wanted. Priced it using all dicounts rebates etc. then i decided what the heck , let me look at a honda accord. Test drove. Whoa. More acceleration than the impala that had a six cylinder. This accord has a four cylinder in it? With acceleration like that! Then i checked some pavkages and trim levels. This accord cost me 6000 less than a comparably equipped impala. It has 27 mpg in city and 35 or more on highway. I am. Averaging over 31 combined after 1100 miles. The Accord has a much bigger back seat than the impala. The trunk in impala is bigger, yes, but accord has plenty of trunk soace, golf clubs fit with no problem. The passenger front seat is not as comfortable for my wife as the impala. Except for that this car is awesome. Test drive one, look at the price...i still think chevy makes great cars, but I am 6-3 and dont want a makibu, hard to fit in. I have plenty of room in the accord and in terms of mileSge, performance and price, honda beat you chevy.

What happened Honda? - 2009 Honda Accord
By richard - June 16 - 1:43 pmThe drivers seat is very hard, and hurts the thighs. The Accord gets fair gas mileage. The carpet looks cheap I can see the lining of the carpet. The audio system sound is not very impressive. At 180 miles my brakes needed to by repaired, warped rotors. A lot of noise, road as well as rattles. My previous car was a 03 Honda Accord EX. Miss that car!

1st Time Honda Buyer So Far, So Good - 2008 Honda Accord
By DammitJim - June 14 - 11:56 amI had been in GM truck leases for over 7 years, and was coming to the end of my 2005 Z71 Tahoe lease. Although I loved the Tahoe, I cringed every time I filled it up. I test drove the 2008 EX-L V6 coupe and love the handling and looks of the car, and entered into a 3- yr lease deal. So far, I am a definite fan, though I feel there areas that can be improved. Fuel economy is excellent on the highway, about 26-28 mph. Combined driving is in the low 20s. The VCM definitely helps the mileage - it was very noticeable when it activated in the beginning, but is barely detectable now, except for the dash indicator. At highway speeds, the interior remains quiet, with little to no wind or road noise.

Great features well-balanced options - 2006 Honda Accord
By Jane - June 13 - 11:03 pmPurchased 1 month ago at 25 miles and has 2400 miles on it now. It is a great car. Well balanced features: Great stereo (6 CD charger), powerful heating and A/C, map lights. My spouse wants to sell Acura and get one of this, seriously. I was tired of Toyotas options etc. This car has everything. Internal build quality, materials are above average. One can see the ergonomic details Honda always pays attention to: nicely positioned cup holders, very comfortable seats and ride. Very sporty and tight riding. Very enjoyable ride. I did not experience any a rattle noise or highway riding noise.

Disappointed - 2008 Honda Accord
By Sue - June 13 - 3:03 pmThis is our 6th Accord and the one I like the least. We traded in our 2004EXL for this 2008. I am quite disappointed. The car is very loud! The windshield wash barely hits the windshield but I am mostly disappointed in the gas mileage. Im lucky if I get 23 MPG and 98% of my driving is highway. Arent we supposed to be making improvements in this area? My 2004 was getting 28- 30MPG. Unfortunately, I regret buying this car.

My dream car - 2006 Honda Accord
By Si - June 12 - 2:56 pmIve driven Hondas for years, but this is my first brand new car. I was pretty sure I wanted the Accord, but I did drive other cars to be fair. This car is so comfortable, gets better mileage than the sticker says. Who needs extras when everything I could want just came with the car. Im sure I will be as happy with this car in 15 years, when I still plan to be driving this car, as I am right now.
